Default 2004 GT Exhaust Help

I am new to this forum and this seems like a good way to start enhancing my car.
I have a stock 04GT. I am doing my first mod, YES! and of course, it is the exhaust. From what i have been reading, X-pipes seem the way to go. However, i am interested in the side exhaust. So i want to know if this is a good exhaust and if it will work well with X-pipes (Sorry, i drive cars i don't know much about the mechanics of them, so if i sound a little off that is why). If this is not a good exhaust, what is the best exhaust i can get for HP and sound. i have always been a fan of the deep throaty sound that you get with an exhaust and i am looking for that. Please help, suggestions, experience and any knowledge will be great (i.e web sites pricing, etc...)

I appreciate your guys help and i look forward to doing my first mod!!!

If you want a loud aggresive sound then side exhaust is not the way to go. Go to the video section and look at exhuast clips. Mustangexhaust.com is also a good site to compare different types of exhausts. If you want something different than the stock set up go with the Saleen rear center exit setup which will make your stang stand out. Most want to get the SLP loudmouth exhaust with catless x pipe. Its very important that you listen to many different setups as all exhuasts do not sound the same.
