hey, i recently installed a cat-back stainless steel borla type s exhaust, a FIPK K&N cold air intake, and a poweraid throttle body spacer all by my self in my garage. This is because I love working on my car in my garage making it faster (and it has been gettin pretty damn fast). I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions of things i can adjust or install in my car by myself for better performance other than bigger throttle body, headers, and a supercharger, because that will be coming up in the future
thanksss |

a dyno tune, or a handheld reprogrammer like SCT XCAL 2 or diablow preditor.
UD pullies are underdrive pullys. They change the pullys to free up a whopping 7hp if you are lucky. The midpipe is inbetween your manifolds and your catback. You can free up a couple ponies here too. |

You want more grunt, bump up to 3.73 or 4.10 gears (4.10's are best for auto's IMO). 02-04 GT's had crappy tunes out of the box. I've seen the actual tables and it's a joke compared to even 99-01. Makes them really lag a lot and stay lean too long. An out of the box handheld SCT tune will make your life easy and help the power a bit. It'll also adjust your ECU for the new gears.
An X pipe is worth usually 6-12 hp and will make full use of your cat back. If you want quick easy power in 1 part but you'll have to have someone do it for you for best results and get your tune adjusted, cams are worth up to 40hp. Cams are about 5-600 bucks, another 300 for springs and gaskets, and probably 5-800 for install. You'll almost certainly lose a little down low but you'll gain big time up top. |

I know people on this site have installed gears, but I wouldn't say it's really a "do it yourself" type of thing. Mid pipe and UDP's are pretty straight forward and somewhat easy to do if you have the tools. The mid pipe will give you a great sound and power, the UDP's will net you 5-10 rwhp. It all sounds like small gains, but it all adds up.
