They're both from MT' site.

SLP Loudmouth Axle-back Exhaust
http://www.mustangtuning.com/axexlmo20mug.html

and

SLP Power-Flo Axle-back Exhaust
http://www.mustangtuning.com/20muexslppoa.html

Would your average "Midas" shop install these, do you think?

The Loudmouth kit is louder and eliminates the oem mufflers, the power flo is strait through mufflers that replace the stock mufflers

You can install them yourself with simple hand tools, a jack, stands, and 30- minutes of your time.

So then, the Loudmouths are more for "show" and the Power-Flo is more for "go"?

Hey now, don't get all crazy on me, and start trying to put tools in my hands. :devil2:

But seriously, you think that's about all it would take? No welding or things along that line?

Both will give you good gains performance wise, there really wouldnt be much difference imo. The Loudmouth would be too loud for me but I would rather have Bassani, Magnaflow, Borla, than SLP but thats jmo.

And yes its that easy. I put on a full cat-back on my 2004 GT by myself in about an hour and a half. The axle backs are much easier and less time comsuming. I dont know but I doubt there is any cutting and for sure no welding.

I would bet all you have to do is undo either a band clamp or flange on each tail pipe and remove them from the hangers by putting some WD-40 on the rubber so they slide out. Then just put the SLP on the same way. Probably at most 2 bolts each tail pipe so 4 total.

They are both good catbacks, and one isnt better then the other at your power level, now if you were making tons of power with boost then a straight threw muffler would be choice.

I would also go with the powerflow out of those two, and install is very easy its just a simple unbolt and rebolt type of deal you can do its really easy.
