I have a BBK right now on mine. I wish I would of known more when I first got it because I would of either gotten a JLT or just a K&N filter. My question is would I benefit at all to sell my BBK and get the JLT? Some things I like about the JLT is that it's plastic so less heat absorbtion, it's a 4"tube compared to just 3 1/4 of the BBK. And also you can order the JLT in custom colors, which I would get white to spice up under the hood. So is it stupid to do or just stick with what I gots.

keep what youve got. you arent going to notice anything different. our GTs barely see any difference between a nice filter to a full cold air unit. dont waste your money...

thats not true... the stock tube is a pos... but a cai isnt any good unless it goes down into your fender well a good ways...and has that plate to close it off... u wanna make a differnce with a stock pipe - leave the stock filter one and remover the air filter housing - its the killer.. but anyway an aluminum cai that goes into the fender well makes an incredible differnce!

seen dozens and dozens of dyno runs with CAI's... 4V engines gain a few. 2V don't. Unless you have supercharger or turbo they're never worth the money for performance. They make the air hotter, introduce all kinds of sudden bends and are usually aerodynamically inefficient.
I know of 1 guy whose combo isn't very radical that's making over 300rwhp and is using the stock intake tract down to the rubber snorkel. CAI's don't work for 2V guys. |

The man that owns JLT told me personally that a pretty much stock GT is going to gain 10-12 HP. And that dyno after dyno after dyno the RAI and CAI yielded the same basic increases in performance.

Hell, I wish I had just bought a replacement paper filter. 3 bucks and does the same that a K&N does. Intakes dont do crap on our cars, and the ones that go in the fender are even worse because they screw with your a/f ratio, which is a bad thing.
