i was thinking about having someone bend me some pipe that would route my exhuast out the side cobra r style and just run it with no mufflers or resonators straight out from the cat back, but i dont know if it would be really unhealthily loud...dioes anyone out there know what the 4.6 sounds like without any mufflers or resonators on them?? Would it work ?? im gonna put a v6 style rear bumper on it so it looks clean with the pipes out the side.

I have a 3inxpipe and striaghts from there, no mufflers, no resonators. It is pretty loud, i CAN set off car alarms from time to time but not as loud as say a cummins deisel turbo. Going out the side you would have a lot less pipe, not sure how much of a difference that would make. I would assume you would hear it more in the car than if you had it route out the back. Just be careful, Straights can have a tendancy to drone at 3000rpm. it bugged me at first, but i hardly notice it now. |
