Ok guys my gt is running great but the engine light came on with a P1443 code i found the purge control valve butis that it or is it somethings else ?

man i have a 96 v6 that gave me an on and off p1443 check engine light for two years. since it went on and off on its own, i had to shoot in to a inspection station the minute it went off so it would pass my emissions testing. i replaced the two little valves, sensors on that line going into the charcoal canister. tried cleaning them with carb cleaner. nothing ever fixed the problem. i took the vacuum hose off the brake booster one day and cleaned my system out with seafoam. light hasn't came back on since.

 

did you try the seafoam?
