Default just another PI question

Hello everyone new to the forums, but i have been reading them for a little bit now. got an 02 mustang gt about 2 years ago and blew the motor i guess about 6 months ago,so i finlaly got around to gettin a replacement engine for is supposedly out of an 01 gt with 47k on it,my concern is this it doesnt have PI stamped on it anywhere but the casting numbers from what i can tell read as this pf 1l2e-6090-d22d wich would make e believe it is a PI engine the intake is plastic without the aluminum coolant crossover im guessin its the old style before they fixed the cracking issue, but the plenum is not flat with the pony emblem on it like you would see on the mustangs,it just kinda looks like an aluminum elbow, the intake does go pretty deep into the valley tho like i believe the PI intakes do,and one other thing on the oil filter adapter there is a port for what i would assume is a cooler line. so any info you guys and gals could give me would be greatly appreciated..and oh yeah no i have not yet pulled the intake off to look at the ports wont be able to do the for a few days or so..cant et to the garage till then.

Default PI ENGINE

Hello all,i also noticed the balancer seems to have some type of piggy-back style inderdrive pulley on it.wich i may or may not use,not sure yet,but i was wondering if i did decide to use it will i also need underdrive pulleys for the water pump and alternator,or can this be used by itslef with the rest of the pulleys being the original ones from my car?

ummm... 01 engines had the aluminum crossover and PI is clearly stamped on the sides of the heads near the cam cover rail and above the exhaust ports. I'm pretty sure you got pwn.T on that deal. betting it's not a 01.

piggyback pullies are ****. abandon them asap.

ok went to the garage and i dont see PI stamped on the heads anywhere just the casting #1l2e-6090-d22d,i took off the intake manifold and it does have the square intake ports, looks just like the ports on my 02 engine i pulled out of the car,soo i should be good to go correct?

k.. well it has PI heads and the PI casting marks then and you're just not seeing them. It'll be just fine as long as it's the square-ish and not the distinctly tear-drop shaped ports.

It should bolt directly up without any problem.
