Hey guys!! after reading some of the post on this board, I know Ive come to the right place! I need help lowering my stang. I 've got a 99 gt with eibach springs sitting on 18 inch Saleen rims and nitto tires. What is the best way to get my front end lower. I have a 2 inch gap between tire and fender. looks better than factory but not good enough. I really want a mean looking stance.

Get a more track orientated spring set like H&R supersports.

 

If you just want another 1/4" or so, remove the isolators on the springs - you can pick up another 1/4" if you also remove the isolators on the body, but this will surely result in squeaks. I really don't recommend doing this, just for info.

Shorter springs will surely lower your stance - Maximum Motorsports has them, as do a lot of Mustang suppliers.

Finally, you might consider going to coil-overs, many of which feature adjustable ride height to dial in precisely your preferred ride.

Cost of these options varies wildly, depending on how much of that 2" you want to get rid of. Be advised that dropping the car this low may also require a bump-steer kit to correct your geometry (steeda makes a good one).

i had 18" saleen rims and saleen springs and i swapped the rims out for 17" cobra r's and my car seems a little lower now?

 

Depends on the tires. My 18" combo is about 1/2" taller overall (18x10" wheels with 295/35 W18's) than oe (17x8" wheels with 245/40 ZR17's). The lower profile 35 tires compensate to some degree for the taller wheels, but you still pick up a little (net distance from ground about 1/4").

Visual distance from the fender well decreases about the same amount, so you get the best of both worlds - lower looks with more ground clearance.
BMW has this figured out - why Ford keeps building mustangs with their skirts all hiked up is beyond me (actually, I understand it has to do with wearing tire chains up in the frozen north). Guess BMW owners don't care about tire chain clearance - neither do I, now that I think about it...
