Default Got in a wreck today...

The driver side rear rim completely broke off....When I put her in first the tires don't spin. Any ideas of what I need to get, or what is wrong? I really don't want to put it on my insurance.

Thanks

I have no idea, but if your tires won't spin, that is a slight problem. Go take it in for an estimate?

Umm a bit more info please...
Is the drive shaft still connected? Is it in the rear diff? or is the axles spinning in the hub?

you have a broken axle, or two, or your diff is trashed if you had a direct impact into one of the rear wheels, that might push the axle on that side into the diff thus breaking it. thats my guess.

Well, since the rim was broke off you probably have a bent axle and/or a something broken with the rear brakes (like a bent/broke rotor) which could be the reason the tires will not spin. Have to check everything else out under the car like lower control arms and their mounting points.

When I fish tailed and nailed a curb it shattered my rim, fucked up my rotor/caliper, and bent my axle.
