accelerator cable

Question accelerator cable

i got new ford racing pedals for my manual GT and am havin trouble gettin the accelerator cable off of the accelerator pedal. anybody got any suggestions??

It's just a plastic busing sitting in the hole on top of the acceperator assembly. Did you unbolt the whole accel pedal assembly from the floor? Should be 2-3 bolts into the floor/firewall. That will give you more room to play, also, make sure you unhok the accel cable from the throttle body also. That gives you and extra 5-6 inches of cable slack. it's not too bad once you can see it. Usually, everyone struggles with getting the other 3 pedals slipped on nicely..

yea i figured it out. the plastic bushing that holds the cable to the pedal assembly was jus kinda stuck. but with the clutch and brake i boiled them for like 3 minutes and used my mechanix gloves and took right out to my car outta the water and they went right on.
