Ideas to dress up the new stang
ok, first things first...some ******* in a range rover about a week after I got my car decided to back into the right rear quarter panel/fender and did a number on my paint job and left a nice dent. Lucky for me it's getting fixed and his insurance covers it. The car was parked - and he said it was the fourth time he's done something like that....the 4th time this year! Grr!!!
Anyways...so got that frustration out of the way though I'm dealing with the headache of not driving my brand new car.
The point of this thread is I'd like to hear what you guys think as far as possibilities to dress up the new body style. Personally, I feel like it's begging to made into a Mach 1 or Boss 302..it could easily be done on this car.
I've seen both the saleen and roush 05's, and I gotta admit they're nice, but they're just not...jaw dropping. In fact, I'd go as far as to say the '05 roush with it's tape on hood scoop is well...almost shameful. Either make it functional or don't put it on the damn car folks...that's just my opinion though.
I took these big 20" wheels off, due to their high price tag. I just didn't feel like they were worth it, and the ride was complete crap. Once I put the 17's back on everything was great...but I lost the great look they had. I was thinking about getting the mach 1 style wheel in 18's...or the black bullitt's.
What do you think? Any ideas for what could be done? Any opinions on what's already available?

Dunno bout BOSS 302, isnt the 302 the displacement? it would be more like a BOSS 281. I think the boss stripes would look sweet on that, but you would have to remove the rallys, but that is pretty easy. an hour with a $14.00 con-air hair dryer from wallmart and they are history.
That is one nice lookin ride, too bad bout the range rover. I hate those big *** stupid minivans that they claim are SUV's. These morons go out and buy em and they cant even drive through a parking lot without scratching up other peoples rides. Then they feel the need to tailgate everyone on the road, and when you have to slam on yer brakes they run right into you cause thier stopping ability is next to pathetic.
Like the H2. Give me a break, it is nothing more than a Tahoe with a hidious body kit, we have those ugly monstrositys all over denver.

hey thanks for the props guys!
Funny how getting hit can turn out to be a convienent thing...I asked the body shop if they could install some accessories for me, sinch they'll be fixing the paint and such. They said they'd be happy to do it, and they'd only charge me for the labor, since the paint will already be there - sweetness!
I was thinking of getting the side window louvers from roush, though I like the street scene ones because they look more retro, the roush ones look more flush (probably one of the few pieces on the roush kit I like).
Mike, do you have a link for that hood scoop by any chance? I'll go poking around for it and post one if I can find it.
edit: here's the link

I like the chin spoiler - I may go for that on my car. The hood scoop doesn't have a price yet, unfortunately.
I like the FR500's, especially in black. I've been keeping my eye out for a good 18" wheel/tire combo deal. I'll probably wait for the price to drop.
Has anyone seen these yet?

They look good, too bad they're not in black yet...I really like the rivets, nice touch on those wheels for sure.
Jury's still out for me on the louvers. I may hold off on them. Not sure what I'm going to do first yet!
btw, LM performance has the most products available for 2005 owners that I've been able to find thusfar. Here's a link to their exterior add-ons:

hmm, now that I know they're just dodge knockoffs I definitely don't want them. I'll be going with the FR500's for sure...unless something else grabs me.
