Racing clutch? Gear ratios???
Hey i'm still gettin into engines so i had a couple questions... Why would you want a performance racing clutch instead of the OEM? What exactly is the difference...
I also was wondering... what exactly does the gear ratios do? I was told to get some more performance in my stang is to change my rear gears. What exactly do the gears mean and all that? |
with more horse and tourqe the racing clutch wouldn't be as likly to slip as the stock. and gears increase the number of times your axles rotate when your drive shaft rotates.

Got 2000 miles of Kenne Bell boost and still no problems with my stock clutch.
Spec Stage 2 is in the garage for when it decides to give up. |
i have a friend that's gone through 3 stocks on a stock motor with 120,000 miles. but i think it has alot to do with driving styles

hmm
Okay thanks. this is my next question then. For my '04 gt.... what would be the best gear ratio to make it faster, i've notice they have differen't ratios such as 3.55:1 4.30:1 etc. So what kind of ratio would best fit me?

oh man here it comes the gear nazi's

those links are bad, nothing showed... so anybody out there think they could help me understand what will make my car spin faster with gear ratios? is it like the smaller the gear the faster the rotation is or vice versa or am I compeltely wrong on that..
