Default maybe going 8 rib...

Well I shredded another belt. So I had a new one put on and they said that they shimmed the bracket to fix the problem but its still hard on the belt. You can tell cause it makes stress lines all over the smooth side of the belt and you can hear it jumping a lil when I get on it. Im pretty positive all of my hardware is correct and the right lengths. The guys at the shop said that the blower bracket was flexing when i get on it and hurting the belt. I dont know why its happening im not making alot of power. others have run the 6 rib no problems.

Im thinking about just converting it all over to an 8 rib setup. Its supposed to cure any belt traction or stability problems. Seems like what im having. The cost is $480 for the complete kit with all hardware, pullies, belt, and bracket. Seems really high, but cheaper than $50 a month plus time and misery of having the belt changed all the time. Plus the car seems to run alot better when im not hearing the belt jumping. So itll actually be making more power and will be reliable. Then I wont be scared the belt will break while im away from home. Plus itll look pretty cool.

If I do this, ill be putting off the intercooler/pulley setup for awhile. But whats the use if the belt wont stay on right? Sound like the right thing to do? How much is install for the kit? Any thoughts on my issue?

Heres a link to the kit-----> http://www.superchargersonline.com/p...er=V4FL116-001
