Default Codes...& How to fix?

My friends mustang threw a cell and the codes I got came out

P0122 (Throttle Position Sensor Low imput)
P1000 (OBDII Monitor Testing Incomplete)

What do I do to fix these? Does the code P0122 just mean that I have to clean that sensor? Should I use brake cleaner or something else? And my other guess is that if I fix the first code the second one will go away?

Thanks

Sounds like the TPS needs to be adjusted so its reading the correct amuont of volts. Should be around .98

Losen the two screws on the TPS and youll be able to move it around. You need to read the volts with one of those voltameters, or you can do it by ear. If its still throwing codes then just get a new one at Advanced Auto for $20 or whatever.

Or you can try diconnecting the battery. But your friend must of done some work to the car because its throwing the P1000 code. Did he unhook the battery or install a new t/b?

Yeah he did work on it. He replaced the throttle body. Would diconeting the battery fix the problem after cleaning it maybe?

You need to disconnect the negative on the battery before you installed the tb, just disconnect the negative for 30 min and you should be fine.
