Dual Stage Rev Limiter??
Hello all, I just ordered my SCT XCal 2 from MT, I ordered the Dual Stage Rev Limiter. I was just wondering if this can be used with Autos because that is what I have??????? The seller asked me before I even told him what I had so i was wondering if it is ok with an Auto. I want to know what I'm ordering so I think this is how it works. With the dual stage limiter you can get up to the line and go WOT with the first stage it is set to how high it can rev without the tires spinning, then after releasing the brake and your at WOT your car will go to redline??? Please tell me if i'm wrong or if I can't even use it with my car. Thanks

the rev limiter is for the manual only...it bounces the rpms at an rpm where u can launch....meaning u floor it at the light tree and ur rpms could go to 3000 rpm and bounce there until u let out the clutch...
auto have the break from keeping the rmps from going up....so any auto doesnt need the duel stage rev limiter

It's a 2-step system, and yea it will work on an auto. The computer will only allow your car to rev to a certain rpm while the brake is engaged, once you release it will allow the car to rev higher. Same with a manual, except used with the clutch rather than the brake. Already have set 2-step on an auto before.
