Default What are you getting your significant other?

As for me, i'm debating on what to get my girl. She has been bugging me about getting her the new Magenta(pink) razor for her t-mobile service(which is under my name ). I work in the retail business and could get the phone cheaper than anyone without service but even for me the price is pretty steep. ....I could buy her the usual perfurme package and some jewelry but i dont' know. What about you?

I got my girl a jewelry box from things remembered with a engraved message and it has a bunch of crystals on it. And a watch because she busted the hell out of the one she has now.

Wanna know the difference between my girl and yours she doesn't expect anything from me. She doesnt like me spending my money on her. Damn I love her.

get the phone on ebay, you can get it for under 200.

my babe's getting....

- boost/vacuum gauge for his supercharger
- Cartech book on his motor
- Cadillac door handles (his are shaved and it's killing him that he can't go to the track)
- a set of Snoopy decals (the nickname for his truck)
- a DVD of drag week where his favorite truck kicked some ass

and my mom's getting him
- 1 piece aluminum driveshaft for his silverado
- pair of sandals
- pair of DC shoes
- pair of Heelys (he wants them so bad)
- subscriptions to GM High Performance, Truckin' and Chevy Performance
- some other stuff she won't tell me

LOL - This is a funny post, because if I bought my wife Jewerly it would not be the cheap option....the phone would cost less.

We are having our bathroom re-done for eachother for X-Mas. This is what happens when you have been married for 13 years. I get to spend $4,000 on the bathroom and when it is done, it will still essentially serve the same purpose as it does now.

The gift to me is that I get to pay someone to do all the work and I don't have to do it. I did all the other rooms in the house.

It will be great when it is finnished. It is going to be almost entire done in wood to mimick an old ship complete with rope-wood floor stained in teak...it's my own invention. All the cabinets and bench seat will be custom made by hand...not my hands.

The room is small...prolly only 40 sqare feet, so I am spending about $100 per foot...think of that zhit.

So, there you have it. I figure when we are done with this, I might be able to order a s/c and not feel guilty.

Sure. But, you'll have to wait until Jan.

I am a floor pro...sort of. I have redone most of the floors in this house over the last 10 years and all by hand. I buy the wood from a mill and always go for the rustic look.

If you can picture this:

The BR floor will be done in 4" plank. The boards will be grooved on both sides, but have no tongue on the other side. Instead of a tongue, we are using a thick piece of rope. The, the board will be face-nailed with square head nails, or we may use pegs. I have not decided yet.

Then, the entire thing gets stained in teak.

The ceiling and two of the walls are also getting completely lined in wood, but with a different finnish. The cabinets will be lined in knotty-pine and stained in teak to match the floor.

I want to find (or have one built) an old, wooden shower/tub door instead of using glass or a cutain.

And of course, there will be a old round life preserver mounted to the wall.
