Default Throwing an idea out

Do you know wat would be really cool? if we could get together at some dragway.....like everyone....that would be sick...wat do you think? like sometime during the summer...go to a place to race and converse...i think it would be cool to meet everyone on the forums...the only thing is that we would need to find a place to meet...somewhere somewat reasonable for everyone

MT would be game in doing that. If you want to get something setup I'm sure it can be arranged. I'm not going to offer my services up to get things setup just yet, but everyone traveling over to Maple Grove Raceway would be pretty cool.

While its a great idea, its just not feasible for people to do that. Im sure its possible to do regional type stuff, but there is a LOT more involved in everyone meeting up and going to a drag strip. You would have to have at least a week to pull something like this off, and no one is just going to travel for days to go drag racing. My suggestion is to split it up regionally, because its nearly impossible to get everyone together. Hope I dont seem like the party pooper, because I only poop at partys.

How about this....why don't we pick a charity and organize simultaneous Mustang Tuning cruises all over the US. We could pick a few spots and see who can get the most Mustangs together. There are similar groups that already do this, so it is really nothing new, but imagine if we could get national press? The mags would love something like this.

I also know someone who runs a cool charity for kids......LOL

Like regions of the US or states? I know there are quite a view of us in the GA to PA area. We could all like meet in NC or VA. I'm not trying to be biased because I live in VA but I'm just saying we need more than like 5 people at each cruise and race and I know there are only like 4 or 5 of us to each state. I'm definitely down though, but if we are going to do this then why not just call it a club like www.blackmustangclub.com

They have all sorts of regions and stuff and they an anual meet each year and alot of the regional directors get together and organize cruises and stuff. I definitely think we should give it a shot. It would also be great advertising for the site too, we could get window banners and stuff and just take our cars to shows and stuff with banners hanging from our hoods. Would bring alot of customers and member I think.

The whole point of doing this is #1 to have a great time and #2 to get more people together. Of course #3, could be to raise awareness for the site and a good charity.

The way we could do this is for a key member in perhaps 5 - 10 locations steps forward to organize for their area. Then, we get the word out. Sure, there might only be 5 MT members in your area, but there are a lot more Mustangs then just those guys. The things is, some people will see this as a MT Foruns event, some will see it as just a Mustang event, and some will see it as a charity event. They will all come for their own reasons.

Keep in mind, CJ Pony runs a huge event in Harrisburg in July. Last year they picked my charity as the benefactor and I am not sure what their plans are for 2006 (regarding charity). BUT, we could do something completely on our own, or in conjunction with them, or, simply avoid that weekend all together.

Now that sounds like a great idea. I would be up for heading up a South region. Im great at organizing and know alot of stangers in the area. There are an estimated "5000" hardcore stangers in my town. Im my Club we are 2609 members strong here in Austin..Thats alot of donations, and Im very confident that they would love to help out for a good cause.
