Default Modded V6 w/ Zexx wet 75 shot, 15 1/4? Slow?

So i was at Ultimate Electronics today and bought myself a Panasonic DVD burner with an internal 100gb HD, (i work between noon and 1030p, so i keep missin the good shows) and the sales guy carried the crap out to my car. I was parked in front of a 2000+ Green Mustang V6. The sales guy calls his buddy who also works there and he comes out and we start checking out eachother's rides.
The guy has custom exhaust (did not know a v6 could sound like a v8) Zexx Wet kit, and a bunch of other boltons and stuff.

Not sure how much he dyno's but he was pretty proud of his new time at the track.

15.0 1/4 mile.... spraying a 75 shot.....

i dunno.. that seems kinda slow to me. What do the V6's normally run stock under good conditions? Yeah, it is Denver, so the altitude is about a mile up. But still....

Does that seem slow to you? Ive heared of people taking thier STOCK GT to high 13's on ideal conditions at sea level....
You'd think with a 75 shot he would be doing a bit better.

Comments?

Oh yah, and this DVD Burner is pretty sweet. Panasonic DMR-EH50 I can record up to 177 hours of programming. and edit out commercials and burn them at my convinience. <grin> That is my Xmas present to myself.

Um either he needs to learn how to race. Something is wrong. Or it could be the altitude I guess... I don't know what stcok GT's run in denver's altitude. But he should be low 14's to high 13's. Probably 14's unless he has gears and a t-lok then 13's should be there for him.

No T-lock, No gears either. He does have a lot of suspension work. I really dont know what the V6 engine looks like, but the thing definatly had some extras put on it.

Some questions i asked he seemed somewhat shaky on answering. He said he is sponsored by some mustang performance shop here in denver, and that a lot of the stuff he got was for free.

I dunno, but i really dont know how much i believe that. Other than the Zexx kit and steeda springs he really diddnt know much about the car. He diddnt know the diameter of the x-pipe he had, i checked and it was 3in. Looks like it was done the same place mine was, same style, no name brand, just a local exhaust place here in denver that creates thier own x/hpipes.

What really suprised me was the condition of his car. Both headlights were fogged up and milky, the paint wasnt the greatest shape, the tires were well roasted, and it was an auto.

You'd think a mustang performance shop would be more likley to sponsor a GT in real great shape, opposed to a kinda worked over green v6.

who knows?

Oh yaah, as far as altitude is concerned, i think the stock GT's run mid 14's at this altitude......

if he had 20 extra hp with boltons, plus the 190 they come with stock(i think) and spraying a 75 shot, he should be putting out about 285hp at the crank, then he SHOULD be faster than a unmodded GT with 260 at the crank. Just seems slow. He told me he ran a 15 and i got this look on my face... i think he misunderstook my expression for once of being impressed by his time, rather than confused as to why he is so slow. <ROFL>

his engine is gonna go BOOOMMMMMM!!!!!

i had a moded 2000 V6 auto and it was only running 16.5s

my bullitt runs high 13s i think his V6 with the 75 shot should be running at least 14.5s
