Thumbs down bad timing

so i was suppose to be leaving for a nice tuning job this morning, you know the chip and some nice dyno runs at randy haywoods and then leaving for alaska in the morning, i was at the road to turn towards my place, all of an 1/8th of a mile away from home.... when all of a sudden some jerk decides to run a red light and, well i will let the pictures tell the rest...... its not as bad as venom's car, but man does it still hurt.... hopefully we have found a good shop that seems to have some good work and some really sweet classics... but there goes my road trip....

It's not quite totaled but probably borderlining. It all depends on the insurance adjuster that will come out and look at it. I say possible front axle maybe its just the suspension damage, new fender, new bumper and all the goodies behind that and a little bit of frame work the engine and drive line should be ok. I've seen worse get repaired.......luckly it was a direct hit from the side

Did you hear that? The sound of my shotgun cocking? hehe Man I think about that kind of stuff every morning when I get in my car to go to work...I feel for ya. The way I see it is..The car can be fixed or even replaced. As long as your ok. Thats what really matters...

its probably way past borderline totaled....the chassis is probably bent like no other..and by the looks of it, it pretty much needs the whole front end replaced...but yea....i think about that stuff too...when im at an intersection..i always take the time to stop and look 2 both ways....so yea....not saying u didnt do that..but im feeling ur pain man...just glad to see u get outta that ok and uninjured....cars can be replaced, people cant....

good luck to u in the upcomming weeks ahead

p.s. reajusting the frame the correct way is a hell of a lot of money

That car is totaled as far as insurance is concerned. It looks like about an 96 - 98, right? Car is worth about 6 - 8k, right? There is at least that much damage. It might be best if it is totaled, then trying to fix.

Good luck and keep us posted. We all hate to see that kind of stuff.

I agree with totaled. The outside doesnt show much besides fender and hood, but your front end is critical. Thats all suspention, steering, plus youe engine. not to mention the frame is probably bent as well. If it is 70% of your vehicle worth in damage (or close because its an older car) it is totaled.

That is definitely totally... Mine was not even close to that messed up, and the insurance adjusters totalled it. I'm sorry man... It seems to be the "season" for people to be gettin' screwed over.

the pics make it look worse than it really is. there is a shop in town that specializes in totaled vehicels. from what i have seen from looking at it.nothing seems to be bent on the suspension. i drove it from the site to where i live and it still goes strait. the body shop said it will be really close, but he can fix it for me. im more mad that i couldnt get it tuned, but in the long run that stalker kit from cervinis is looking really good, expecially since its covered by his insurance. all he had was a busted headlight and a crumpled fender. he was driving a 93 s-10. what color should i paint the car now? im thinking a really deep dark grey, almost black

Thats really not that bad of a fix, unless the frame posts are bent. My dad has a Brewco frame rack, and believe me, it is not cheap to get the frame pulled correctly. There is a computer hooked up to the rack, where you can actually load factory frame specs, and then it uses lasers to determine where the frame needs to be. Very cool.

well the shop just came and picked it up, as for what color to paint it, i was talking to my wife about it... its pretty much what i want, but i will be heading to alaska in a week or so, so the car will be in her hands...

i should probably just kiss her *** the whole time so it doesnt come up there pink or something.. she would do that just to irritate me... lol..

but on the good side, she really started to love the car and she is determined to get it done the way i want it... so, its kinda like overhaulin, she said she isnt goin to let me see it until it gets there.. she is evil.

Paint it sonic blue or Competition orange. Or even that really awesome orange color from the like 96 or 97 year model, Autumn Orange Metallic, I think.

orange is out of the question, my wife has a spicy orange mazda speed. she said there is only one orange car allowed per family. i just got back from the shop. he said that it would cost to much to paint the vehical a totally different color. he said that the labor of taking everything apart to paint all the nooks and crannies is the killer. so it has to be something extreamly close to yellow. but maybe a two tone? what goes with yellow?
