This kid @ my school has a red 98ish Cobra, totally stock, everytime he leaves the parking lot, he revs his engine and tries to go fast, for some odd reason, it SOUNDS LIKE CRAP...I thought cobras would sound nice, but this one sounded like the cobra was dead and being stepped on...just wanted to share it with ya'll lol

if he has stock exhaust, of course it will sound like crap

when i was in high school, my dad and I shared a 98 cobra. It was bone stock. At the time we bought it, it had 3500 miles on it, and this was in 2002. Anyway, the stock exhaust sounded great. That guys must have some cheap exhaust setup. Maybe glasspacks or something. Stock will have a growl to it, it just won't be loud. A guy that lives in the same apartment complex as me has a 03 cobra with exhaust (i dont know what kind) but it sounds like crap. It is all in what you got under there. Just because it is a v8 does not necessarily mean it will sound good.

Yeah that could be, back home in MD, this guy kept swearin to me he had a cobra, it was a 94-98 with some body kit on it. He had fenders and everything, even at start up i believed him, it sounded great, but once we go on the road i started playin with him and took off a little and he had some trouble stayin with me, then i realize his car shift like an Auto...when we got back to the parking lot i told asked why he had cobra **** on a V6 he was like it's not it's a 3.8 V8 or some ****? lol i laughed, he lifted the hood and it was def. a 6 banger. Don't worry guyz I mod my car, but I would never put CObra or V8 badges, I'm proud to be runnin lighter...

I don't know about it being fake, but i've heard my share of nasty ass sounding 96-98 4v's...Theres a black 97 vert cobra at school and everytime i see it leaving it just makes me sick to hear it.

My neighbor has a yellow stingray with side exhaust...i dunno but it sounds like a chopper, not like a Vet is supposed to sound, i dunno how you can have such a nice car and make it sound like ****. I guess he likes it, but i think it sounds weaker then it should.

i saw a black prolly 02 or so mustang with side exhaust and convertible, looks so nice, still havnt heardit yet, lives about a mile from my house...
