I have always liked Mustangs but never owned one. Over the years, I had come close to buying one, but never did. I almost owned a 1990 brand new, but bought a Dodge Daytona instead. Then in 1992 past up another stang for an Eclipse. Then again in 1996 took a pass on another for a Jeep Wrangler.

My wife and I bought our current stang as a 10 year wedding gift to eachother. I had been shopping for a Wrangler Sahara or a Mustang as a family "toy". I finally found one of each that I wanted and made an offer on the Jeep first. The guy who owned it declined my offer as he had a teenager that offered him $500 more than I did. So, I drove right down to the dealer and low-balled them $3000 under their asking price on the Mustang and they took my offer.

A week later the guy with Jeep called back. The kid could not come up with the money. I was actually a bit pissed because I told the yahoo that I had cash (which I did) and was willing to drive to Va sight unseen (besides photos). So, I told him I already found a car but offered him $2,000 less then my previous offer just to be a *****. He hung up on me - LOL, but I think he learned a lesson.

Buying Mustangs is a lot like finding your spouse - it is all up to timing and price!

I've always been around muscle cars, and my first car was actually a '72 gmc pickup. After 7 engines (including the last one, an aluminum headed 383 stroker), I got tired of working on it. I still wanted a fast vehicle, I just didn't want to HAVE to work on it all the time. So I looked at camaros, Mustangs, and a few imports, all relatively new. I saw my mustang sitting on the car lot with 15 miles on it, just waxed and really shiny. So I went in that day and drove off with it after test driving it. My only regret is that I didn't have enough money to buy a Cobra, that would've been sweet..... So now my life's mission is to make this thing outrun any Cobra (at least, almost any).

i always liked the look of the 99+ mustangs. i used to own a 99 eclipse which was slow as ***. i was originally looking at ls1's. i found a rusty color orange one over the internet and the same day i went to buy it, it was being sold right in front of my eyes to some dirty skinhead redneck. i was pissed. then i test drove an 02 z28 that some gay guy was selling. i liked it but it drove like **** and he didn't go for my offer. a week later i looked on autotrader and found my gt. i needed a car really bad at the time cuz i had just moved back here from europe, so i got it. it was my first time in a convertible also and i thought it was pretty cool. i will be getting either a. 03\04 cobra or a WHITE 350z soon. havent decided yet.

i was not into mustangs at first.I was a huge ricer? Had ricer mags everywhere loved civics and preludes. when i was first looking for a car i was looking at this white prelude nice body white tims exhaust and shaved door handles looked very good for a ricer. My ******* friends decided to email the guy and tell him i was not interested and im getting a mustang. WHen i found this out they told me yeah we did it FRIENDS DONT LET FRIENDS DRIVE PIECES OF ****. haha so they got me into mustangs and i fell in love with them 1st mustang was an impulse buy for sure overpaid for it paid 13k for 00gt sold it for 10k 7 monthes later do to getting arrested.

the new v6 i have i waited for and did not buy right away i wanted to find a car that i liked and that was stock that i could modd myself this was hard because unmodded v6 5spd's are hard to find around here so i finally found one 3 hrs away in NJ

so i found it and am very happy with it now

ive always loved muscle cars espcially mustangs always wanted one but i guess when i really wanted one was when i was going to the local mall and going to park in the parking garage with my ****ty 91 blazer rust bucket and a red cobra came roaring down the parking garage around the corner and fished tailed out of the parking garage it was extremely loud because of the echo from the garage and i guess thats really when i fell for them and deicded to save up and get one

After having driven fast cars since i was 17, when I got married I drove an 88 GMC pickup for 12 years. It was a very nice truck. Plus it would run good too. 5.7 liter EFI was state of the art in 88. I finally was able to afford something new so i looked around. Lokked at an 03 mach 1 and i was on the path. never owned a ford and didn't really care for em. Then i saw a guy in a mustang leave at a stop light. I didn't realize they actually ran that good. Well I finally found my red 04 GT test drove it and loved it, bought it, and am very happy with it. Easy on the eyes plus some moderate performance for a stock car that was under 25 K.

im not gonna lie, about 2 years ago before i got my first mustang i would have never ever even thought about buying one. I was into trucks bigtime when i was in high-school but the truck i had been driving decieded to blow up so i went about 4 months without a car. Well, a week before graduation i come downstairs and my parents tell me we are going for a ride, so i get in her car and we end up at car max. i looked at all the trucks and nothing was in my price range but i then walk around the corner and see the line of mustangs, i knew i would be walking home with one of them. So my mom put the downpayment down for me and told me that as long as i made the payments it was mine. Well after a year of driving and modding my V6 convertible i decieded to look around for a GT and i got lucky enough and found an awesome deal on a Bullitt. Now i dont think i can own another car other than a mustang....well i can but i will still need to have a stang around somewhere.

I had originally been on the import scene.. a few friends of mine all had their own cars and juiced them up, pimped them out so to speak... so to follow suit I started doing work with my mother's (yes my mothers) 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS... halogens, LED neons, chrome exhaust tip, sound system, even bought a fuel/air chipset for it...

until i nailed it into a tree on an icy road in feburary... one thing about those imports, you hit a tree at 15MPH you just caused $4,000 of damage to your car.

So after that, my father didn't want me doing anything else to the car, so he told me to go hunting for one. I originally wanted an import, like a civic hatchback or.. I believe it was a Sunfire... but they were all 5-speed. My father really wasn't too fond of me getting a five-speed because they were only used for racing.. but he went and tried to get a loan for it and failed. So I had been looking at other Mustangs around, and he had a friend in New York Mills, NY (near Utica)... so they were making a big sale and he told my father that he'd be on the lookout for a car.. and he got a call that weekend saying that he found a '00 Mustang, V6 3.8L Automatic. So I agreed to go up with him for the weekend to check it out (little did I know my father already bought it so I didn't have a choice.) and when I got there... it had the Saleen bodykit work done to it, the engine work, the lowering springs, the tints... pretty much everything you see was done when I bought it (except for rims, he took those off before the traded the car in....) and so I halved the loan and I halved the insurance on it... and now I'm saving up to compete the previous owner's work, and plan on keeping it for quite some time.
