It would be sluggish, but shouldnt not fire on four cylinders because of it.

I spoke with SLP, they said if the cat was bad, it would be red-**** hot on the one side.

here is the thing, my 3 year-old was helping me wash the car and shoved the hose up the tail pipe. What if ice-cold water hit the red-hot cat....hot from just recently driving it and it cracked it up?

Then again, aliens could have come down from a space ship and messed with it.

Default Whole 'nother county heard from

Water up the tail pipe? Can't see it siphoning past the muffler all the way to the cat, but could it have nailed the O2 sensor? Maybe...

yea but the o2 wouldn't kill the whole side. I'm gonna pop the hood on my mom's 03 and check how the wires on the tps and the cp's flow. if it does have to do with the short in the tps most likely it's at a point before the wires on the drivers side meet with the pass side wires. is it true that the computer is on the pass side of car?

Default Comp

Computer is on the pass. side.

Also, if the car were parked nose down on an incline, the water COULD have gone clear to the cats.

Talking You're just not co-operating

For us to "fix-your-car-at-a-distance" (hereafte called fycaad), we must first gain access to the car's aura. Carry your computer outside the house until it is in close proximity to the afflicted vehicle. Activate your computer and navigate to this thread. Post that you and your car are available for fycaad service. Close your eyes, place one hand on the hood of the mustang, and the other on the monitor. Concentrate on channeling all the good wishes (ignore matt - his aura is probably in hock to somebody allready) of the forum into the car...

Works every time its been tried (100% success rate so far).

Ive seen cats go bad on brand new cars and they run like COMPLETE poop. It throws codes and barely stays alive to even drive. But usually it will also shoot chunks of your cats out the back unless its clogged.
Ive seen this on an 05 cadillac CTS with 43 miles, hasnt even been purchased. I had to drive it around and it throws small chunks out of the back.

Well, my Suburban is now fixed and the Stang got towed. At least I feel like I am making progress. The Suburban ran me about $400 for parts and paid a friend $100 for labor. Let's hope I stay lucky.
