Anyone remember me?

Been a LONG-ASS time since I posted here. If anyone is still around that remembers or cares, let me know.

And, oh, sold the Mustang last February. Sad day indeed.

Steeda97 11-13-2011 07:24 AM

Nice to hear from ya. Not much people come on here anymore. Mostly because they don't have mustangs. Lol. I sold my mustang about a month ago. Been lurking on the JK wrangler forums..

WaterDR 11-13-2011 07:47 AM

Ha...I took the money and bought a YJ!

whitestang04 11-13-2011 07:48 AM

Yeah it's pretty slow around here these days.

So what are you driving now that the Mustang is gone?

*edit I guess I was too slow on the keyboard lol

WaterDR 11-13-2011 08:24 AM

Having some "car" changes around here that have been a bit nutty and will continue. My employer put me back into a company car a year and a half ago, and now just found out I could be losing it due to some policy changes. Not sure if they will be actually giving me the car, or putting me on an allowance....hard to say and will know in a few weeks. My wife is also getting a company car in January. My co car is just a Ford Escape, but hey a free car is a free car and they pay for everythihng. Not sure what my wife will end up with, or perhaps an allowance. She is currently in a Pacfica.

The YJ is a 1999 Sahara. White and with a painted to match white hard top. 2 door, of course, as that's all they had back then and it what I prefer. I went with an older one so I could sell it fast and keep my investment.

I could not use it for long as a DD and if I end up losing the company car, I will possibly upgrade to 2012 so I can still tow. We currently use the Pacifica to tow and with that car up in the air, who knows. I also have a 14 year old who will be driving next year, and the older YJ would be good for her.

So, stay tuned.....

mustangV6_04 11-14-2011 11:29 AM

Lances03SVT 11-14-2011 04:45 PM

Lances03SVT 11-18-2011 06:41 PM

With all the people that have posted it looks like old times here for sure.

stanger00 11-18-2011 06:58 PM

I had to check the dates before I posted in this thread. haha.

WaterDR 11-21-2011 05:48 PM

You guys are all pretty funny!....So, in short.....just for us old-folks (and by that, I mean the ones that were here since Day 1...or close to it)....what the heck have you all been up to?

I'll start.....

Busy with work and family. Helping out as usual with community theater and at the local highschool. Just got done doing "Christmas Carol" and I was running the flying equipment. I am Stage Captain for "Twas the Night Before Christmas" starting in a few weeks.

I have been busy traveling all over the world. Last Fall I was working in Siberia and the UK.....this summer working in Australia. Company is in the middle of a $8B aquisition so work has been "interesting" to say the least.

PColav6 11-21-2011 07:07 PM

I was here when it was MTuning, does that count?

stanger00 11-21-2011 09:25 PM

Got out of the Air Force June 2010

Worked overseas as a civilian contractor for 10 months

Currently, I'm a full time student working on a BSEET (Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology) and I'm in my 3rd semester.

I resent that, douchebag.

And.. I went back to school majoring in Computer Science, not very far along yet, since right after highschool I went into a trade.

WaterDR 11-27-2011 11:23 AM

I am SOOOO Old that I remember when this place was not only Called Mustang Tuning, BUT had only 6 members.

Lots of great times here, good laughs, and plenty of contraversy.

mustangrn 12-03-2011 07:36 PM

Must be the time for the return of prodigal members. Good to see a sane and informed member. Hope life has been treating you right.

Damn Rodney, glad to see you're ok! You just kinda fell off the edge of the earth and I was worried that something bad had happened. Just stop in from time to time and say hey. Hope that the health issues are not anything serious!

You have'nt missed anything here, I'm waiting to log in one day and this place be gone!

krazypony 12-30-2011 09:51 AM

yeah not much of activity as of late, I think its cold in the air and so does the forum or everyone has turned to social networking sites instead.

rebelyell 01-01-2012 07:15 PM

Yeah, this gettin' old does suck but I guess the other option is a lot worse. I've been fightin' some high blood pressure (I mean really high) myself. I need a right knee, so if you can find a buy two get one free let me know :D

Man I wish you the best and just don't overdue it, let them young guys do that heavy shit.

JackThe Ripper 01-09-2012 11:11 AM

Hey all you jerks.

lol

nice to see some of you are still around, i doubt half the people in this thread are known by half the people posting on here.

Im divorced now, my son is 4.5 years old and kicking ass, his heart and valve are in great shape. So i have been dealing with being a single dad, finding myself doing it all on my own cause his mom keeps ending up homeless. On the side ive been diving pretty deep into photography and building customer motion control rigs for timelapse photography.

it goes from one expensive hobby to another.

Im driving a Hyundai, its sorta ghey but it is paid for, there is a lot to be said for that. Im hoping to pick up a Jeep here soon so i can get access to backtrails and shit in the mountains, working on putting together a short timelapse film about colorado.

ANyway, here is Chronos, it is my time-lapse motion control rig, with my astro tracking platform worked into it.

rebelyell 01-14-2012 07:01 AM

That's a sweet looking setup you go there jack. That's an equatorial mount for it too huh? must be nice to be able to track the cosmos. that's not an easy thing to do. I have trouble with my telescope and it's supposed to be automatic.LOL

WaterDR 01-14-2012 03:30 PM

Hey, Hyundai's aren't that gay.....ever driven a Genesis? Wish I could talk my wife into one, but she wants a Lincoln. Sorry to hear about all the challenges, but good to hear from everyone.
