In this scenario, the credit card numbers potentially stolen in the hack aren’t as important as they seem. According to Sony, the CVV2 — the security code on the back of card — wasn’t stored in the compromised database, which greatly reduces the cards’ usability to fraudsters. Credit cards without the magstripe data or CVV2 are among the least valuable commodities.

I doubt it. Microsofts encryption is much better and even if it did get hacked, I bet they would have it back up much more quickly than Sony's shitty response. Plus, PSN is getting hacked ever since Sony decided to block loading another OS onto the system which was originally there. A bunch of people got all butthurt and the hackers started going after Sony.

They said credit card info was encrypted and nothing looks to be affect, but they still can't completely rule it out. I don't think most people are pissed cause they can't game online, it's the fact that they had personal information hacked and probably thought Sony would do a good job protecting it.
