Default Getting Bored with my car

As of recent my car has started to lose its appeal. Ive been thinking of changing up my tire and wheel set up just to give it more of an aggressive look.

Im getting tired of my chrome wheels, was throwing around the idea of getting my current wheels powdered coated. Would get different rims and DD out back dont have that kind of money at the moment.

So what do you guys think about getting my wheels powder coated? and what color?
Dont want to do black since I have the SS bumper inserts.

I changed inserts from chrome stickers to carbon fiber inserts. They fit well and are darker than you would think. Would go good with black rims.

I konw how ya feel though. I'm always wanting to make mine look and run better.. Money, sometimes just doesn't allow it.. Hell I haven't even lowered mine yet.. That should be like #1 or 2 on the list..

Powder Coat the inner wheel spokes to Black and have the Chrome lip... I dont know why but I would love to see my rims like that but would do DSG/Anthersite in that fashion.

Give it a little boost or buy another car to have. I find switching back and forth between two cars keeps me enjoying both cars.

I go through phases with my money. For like a month, all I want to do is buy stuff for my car and finish it. Then I'll get tired of it, and spend all my cash on other stuff. Then like 2 months later I'll go back to saving up for more car stuff. lol

If you don't have deep dish rims, then I'd say thats what your next purchase should be. This GT in my neighborhood has 245's all around, but in my oppinion, my car looks a bit more agressive than his, since it has the 315's. Even tho he can still blow my doors off. lol

HID kits cured my last phase of boredom with my car.

Agree with the tire size. Big fat meats in the rear always draws oohs and aahs. Scares most people who get beside ya.. LOL..

That's my next 2 projects. Lowered and some fat rear tires.. I would actually like to go with some 18'' DD for the rear and keep my 17" standards in front. I quit doing burnouts so I don't need to rotate.. LOL..

DD 18's or 17's... it's a win/win situation. lol.

I love my staggered bullitts... you may have to pay a bit more for tires, since you can't rotate, but the aggresive look def makes it worth while.

Some good points there , especially the two cars thing and the staggered rims idea . I have a 2003 GT in dsg with the wheels powder coated the same. When i first saw it l loved it and wasn't going to change them. I`ve just bought 18s with 295s on the back and 255s for the front .Simply as the novelty had worn off. That's the way it goes . They're not on the car yet as i`m waiting on a lowering kit arriving .

by the way rebelyell your car looks lower than mine, maybe it's the chin spoiler . I like the look of that

Thanks man. But trust me, my stang is a true 4X4 stang. It's just the angle of the pic. I'm a good 3 or 4 inches off the tire, maybe more..

Do this. That will totally change the look of your car. I think powder coating your current wheels wouldn't be worth it.

Powder coating rims that are already chrome sounds like a big ordeal. I'd either sell them and get something else. To help cure the boredom, lower it to get a more fun ride, and a mean exhaust to listen to.

I have a friend selling his 17x9 fr500 plus tires for $550. Really thinking about jumping on this deal. Only down side no DD in the back but I would save money on tires etc.

Wonder how much i could get out of my rims? I could try and sell them for $500

Regular fr500s would look great... but trust me, staggered fr500s would look even better. I know you said you don't have alot of money to spare on the car right now, but maybe just lower it to cure the boredom, and also have a savings account for the staggered wheels. Your goal could be to have enough for them by summer?

But that's just me. If you think it's a good deal, then go for it.

I think its a good deal. Need new tires anyways and the ones on his only have 1000k miles or less on them. I can always get a DD set later down the road. Think Ill go for it.

Get those wheels and a set of springs. The mean looking stance on more aggressive wheels will cure your boredom for awhile. I'd get some spacers to push out the rear wheels some since they're not DD. I wanna switch over to a set of silver fr500's. I'm bored of my current look too lol. I'm tired of the black look, I want a more clean and subtle look.

If you get spacers don't get them bigger than like 1". I put some 1 1/2" on my car and on the passenger side they caused the tire to get cut by the quarter panel if I hit a bump.
