It's been around for a while. My mechanic has entered LeMons a couple of times and even tried to get me to crew for him but I've never been able to due to school. It's a pretty cool little series that is growing a lot. They also have Chump car that is similar.

 

We just finished running ChumpCar for the first time at Infineon and Willow Springs (yes, we need to replenish our racing budget now). All I can say is WOW! I love the fact that this series is about real racing, rubbing is OK and you can still theme your car or not. I was also impressed with the Chump staff, especially their tech guy out of Raleigh NC, LLoyd Bogs (knows his stuff). It was cool while we were in Sonoma they were filming a CHump reality TV show and I just found a clip of the pilot online, http://www.facebook.com/tamcom?v=app...=1252134337161 If you have a hooty beater around your house, I highly recommend making a Chump trip. Looks like they're headed to Rockingham NC next; check out their online schedule - they're all over the place.
