The dealership couldn't find anything wrong with the car. That's as much as I want to get into that on the internet.

I got the car to the body shop and Steve is great. He is really working within the confines of the insurance and helping me get the stang to the car I want it to be. The only constraints now are the getting the parts ordered and delivered.

It's a process and there's alot more story but I don't want to post it on a public forum. Sufice it to say the dealership is full of idiots and insurance is a scam!!!

In Tenn., do you have to take it to where the insurance company says or can you take it anywhere?

In TN, you can take the car any where you want for repairs, thank gawd!! However if the insurance company reccomends recycled/recond./used parts you either use them or pay for the difference out of your pocket. And of course most of the parts they reccomend are used.

You hit the nail on the head with that. Insurance co.s whether it be, car, health, or home are only inteersted in the dollar sign. It's a shame too. They will make you feel all warm and fuzzy until you actually need something from them. Then they use all resources available to them to give the least amount by law. And Dealerships are in it for the almighty buck as well.. Once you buy your vehicle, then your status as a customer changes from highly valued, to no value at all to them. That's why any time you go to a dealership, the 1st thing they want to do is sell you a New car. Service at certain places may be better than other's, but that all depends on the manager's demeanor, or what mood he's in that day.. I hate dealing with any of them, cause I get pissed off too easily..

Was at the shop today and they were busy with the tead down, very sad to see. It's on the road to recovery.

Funny story...my insurance company called the shop to ask WHY I would drive across 2 counties to go their shop? Answer...cuz we specialize in mustangs and we are the best!! HA!! The name is Capley's in Nashville if any one needs anything done.

All this just before you guys are to be off to DE correct, dang!

Yeah I have dealt with enough ins. companys to know they are more likely to just give you duct tape and send you on your way!

Default Update

Well Cervini's doesn't have the M1 hood I wanted in stock, so here's my next option

http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com...t_detail&p=108

It will have the same paint scheme as the current hood. Opinions?

And my stripes weren't in stock either, so that's dragging out the repair process. Along with all the supplements that are needed from what was missed on the appraisal, mostly because I wasn't there.

Just a couple more kinks in the works.

And some days I wish I had totalled the car, I think it would have been easier to replace the car than go through this repair process.

Took my new 69 spoiler to the body shop today and got a couple of pics of the tear down and the new hood. Providing Cervini's can get the stripes there on Monday I should be able to pick her up on Tues. and take her down to the next shop and have her lowered and new shoes put on.

The hood is still dusty from the shipping and looks shinier because of the flash. It will have the same design as the old hood.

I'm sorry you have to go through that kind of inconvenience...

Gotta love repair mods though! So you're getting new wheels?
