Angry there goes my weekend and my Evo.

this was going to be a 3 day weekend for me after months of working 6 days a week, so last night i was over at a friends playing forza.

on my way hone at 9:30 i was at an intersection, the light turned green so i pulled in to the middle of the intersection to make a left. im at a stop waiting to turn when all i see is headlights coming right at me.

this ******* guido bitch from new jersey plows right in to the front of me with her chevy aveo. so now i need a new front bumper and hood, i was able to drive the car home but today i still feel sick going out side to look at it.

the worst part about this is the cop said im at fault because i was making a left. even thought she hit me.

this sucks.

Wait, wait.... You were fully stopped and the pig said it was your fault? How far were you into the intersection? Still in your own lane? If all that is correct then you need to fight that **** and make sure you don't get charged with an at fault accident.

Glad you're ok man, good luck with it.

Yeah I would fight that. Even though she had the right of way, the fact she hit you is her fault. I doubt you were sitting in the on coming traffics lane. Fight it.

I'm glad you're okay...but in reading this thread I was thinking your car was totalled - aside from the being able to drive it home part, that is. But when you consider that you were hit by someone in oncoming traffic, I think you got away pretty good in the damage department. Of course it's never good to get damage, but it most definitely could have been worse. As for what these guys are saying about the ticket...I wasn't there and you never stated if you were fully stopped or not, so I'm not gonna say anything there. But, locally, if you're across the line (green light or not) while in the turn lane and get hit by anything it's your fault. Cops around here don't like folks loitering in intersections.

Yeah, I was imagining a lot worse. Still it sucks and I hope when it fixed it looks better than new.

That's stupid man, you shouldn't be at fault. It's not illegal to sit in an intersection. It IS illegal to smash into someone's car.

I don't quite see where the 8K damage is. Under the hood doesn't look that bad, but I know Mitsubishi parts are expensive especially through insurance. Of course you could always go with Krenogins solution for everything.

i guess it does appear funny but its how we do things in KY. I didnt literally suggest a tree but u get the idea. i used a barn and a comealong, and rebuilt my car myself, radiator support, the entire front end paint and all for 700 dollars. If you can beat that, id hook my neck to a comealong and stretch it.

In its condition i could comealong the front end straight but that wouldnt fix the plastic/urethane and visual pieces, but i guarantee i could pull my level out and measure it up square like i did mine. BUT it would be like my cars first wreck, the second wreck would easily mess it up again, but hey i could still drive it.

I would still rather fork out the dough to have it fixed right the first time. I like my car to be driving smoothly and the way it should be. I guarantee your car doesn't drive or feel the way it would new. Alignment's probably a little jacked, uneven tire wear, more rattles/shakes on the highway. No thanks.

It does drive correctly. and it does allign perfectly. I stand in the garages as its being lined up, the only problems we have is getting the things to hook to my saleen wheels. Everything lines within >.10 deg's of where it should be and all lights are green. I recently figured out where all my shakes are coming from and its a warped rear right axle that i cant find a replacement for even in local junkyards because i dont want to buy a whole 7.5 axle setup. When i replace my front bumper cover ill take pictures to show you how everythings perfect, how else would a new radiator support line up if things were off? i know there are no bolts but there are certain places that fit in and certain places that u have to tac to. unless its an insurance job most autoshops will give a cheap price, and use a body machine, which works like my comealong system, and will stretch bent pieces. just because someone isnt certified doesnt mean they arent any good.

Im replacing my front because i hit a Great Pyrenees. If curious.
