Default Having trouble with Yahoo! messenger?

After reading links from their pages, it seems changing your yahoo account settings to use "66.163.181.167" as the yahoo server works.

This is because they're idiots and fucked with their authentication mechanism thusly ******* it up for the whole world.

You're welcome.

yeah... they even have a client that installs all kinds of other Y! malware on your system. The glitch is if you use pidgin or trillian or anything but the Y! client then their propensity for screwing with the way they have it implemented causes huge trouble.

No this was not a joke topic.
