Default Video Camera Help

I bought a JVC GR-D370u back in like 2006, I think. I didn't use it for the longest time and I have no clue why I didn't, but now I really want to use it. I remember when I did use it the last time I took it to the beach and recorded some of my girl friends. Well I believe I got sand in it and the ZOOM is stuck zoomed in. It won’t zoom out and I have taken it apart and cleaned it out, but I can't seem to fix it. I let it sit for years again. I just pulled it out and I want it fixed, but I can't find anyone. I never dropped it or anything close like that, I rarely ever used it.

Does any have any advice or help?

What happened was because I was skating last night before we got chased by the cops. I got like three videos of me skating. My phone takes small videos and not the best look and same with my friends.

Seriously I can't find a single god damn place to fix my video camera/camcorder, how sad is that. I'm not getting a new one because I only used it a few times, brand new and spent over $300.

I fixed it finally, yay, although it took hours. I just saved my self $50 and a 30 + minute drive.

Well like I said I was at the beach filming my girls for less then five minutes and some how got sand in it. I cleaned it where the zoom button is, but didn't help. I called a lot of places throughout the weekend and what not to find help and well no one fixes them anymore. Besides a place I found today, which isn't worth it. So I was yelling at my nerd friend (computer friend) about it.

He was thinking something got stuck in the lens, but mine isn't that type like a camera lens come out and in. So I just took off that whole area where there was a lot of stuff I shouldn't be touching. I got careless and said **** it.

Well there was more sand where it zooms in, but a different part of the camera , so I cleaned it up and well it got fixed. YAY Kind of hard to explain and sorry for the story.
