they sold the mach i was looking at like right before i was bringing my dad up there to talk to them about it... i am taking this as a sign that i need to keep my SN-95 and mod it.. this is like the third 4V car that i have get sold before i could buy.... or maybe i just need to put an 03/04 cobra drive train in my car, and then be a sleeper.. but i doubt that will happen unless i get lucky and find the parts for cheap...

I love the 5.4 swap idea, but a 4.6 4v is pretty damn comparable to a 5.4 2v. When I had my mach lightly modded with a custom tune it was making 10-20 more RWHP and pretty close in RWTQ to the people who did a 5.4 swap on this site. With that said the 5.4 has much more torque potential. That's just my two cents, but there might be more upsides to a 5.4 engine.

I say be patient and you'll evenentually find something. Just wait until premium gas is around $4 again...... there will be plenty of stangs on the market.

i like the 5.4 4V idea.. find a nice navi, take the engine and harness out, do what ever is needed for it to run properly. then have fun and do something like a cam swap in it, forge it, PP heads and intake, then that will be a fun car, maybe even a 125 shot on top of the forge... he he he, thats a cool sounding idea

They'll all work, they're mod motors, but you really couldn't get the carb'd motors inspected.

yeah youre gonna have to register it as a track only car which means its no longer going to be legal on the street but it will be exempt from emissions regulations
