Don't get me wrong, as I love all Mustangs, but the 197's are totally different to me. My 06' is my fifth Mustang, and except for my 73 Mach 1 and possibly my 83 GT, it is definately the fastest...but the 73 and 83 were not stock. The 06' is by far the best handling of them all- hands down. The fit and finish is miles beyond my other ones.

The 06' does seem bigger, as it is. It seems big to me after driving my Probe for a couple weeks then getting in the Mustang. Still considerably smaller than a 73 Mach.

To be fair, the engine is slightly over-rated. The 4.6 actually puts out like 275 or so, but no one ever doubted the 300.

If you are set on another one, like said above, wait. It's hard as hell to do, but in the end, you'll be glad you did. If not, it won't take you long to find yourself right back in the same situation- still wanting something else. At the same time, if you drive an S197, you'll want one.

I'm keeping my eyes open for a low mileage Mach, but they're hard to come by around here.. And I'd be super-picky when it comes to a Mach, it would have to be Azure blue or Torch Red (maybe comp orange, but I've never seen one here.) Terminators are still going for $19+ (most are $20+), so that's over what I want to spend.

Plus, I just don't really want another SN, same interior, same feel, etc.. And, I'd rather have a GT that runs on low octane pump gas so if/when fuel prices go back up I won't be breaking the bank every time I fill up.. And the 05+ GT's get about the same fuel mileage as my R/T.

You've got Termis going for $19+...man, that's amazing. The car dealership I bought my mach from has a Cobra with 50,000mi and they're selling it for $36k

LOL! Obviously if they still have the car, they're not sellin' it. I can't believe anyone would honestly buy a Terminator for $36k.. That's like sticker price, or close to it.

Still not getting anywhere.. Starting to get discouraged.. I actually went out and drove around today since I took a couple of vaca. days for my birthday and didn't see one ******* Mustang on a used lot... WTF!? It seems like when I was just looking at the lots and didn't have the money they were everywhere, now it's like ZERO Mustangs and if anyone has any they're all damn sixxers. One word. ****!.

Sorry, needed to rant a little.

Let my auto trader/ craigslist adventures continue.

What is the maximum you are willing to spend?

It really just depends... To be that high, it would have to be Vista blue and it would have to be at least an '07 model with low miles.

Preferrably? I'd like to stay in the $16k range.

Anyone have any tips to sell a car? I have my car listed at Auto Trader, and try to post it every other day on Craigslist (if the MF'ers don't flag my ads for no reason.) I have had at least 5 posts flagged since I started listing the car, ****'s about to drive me nuts. I've got it listed on Carsforsale.com, do you think I should put it in the local auto trader as well?

I've had luck in the past with Craigslist selling my old Stang, but so far I haven't gotten any bites with the Stratus, I have it listed competitively with OBO all over the place..

I REALLLLLLLY don't want to lose my *** trading it in because so far the highest trade offer I've gotten was about $5k... <- bullshit!

Put it up everywhere you can for free. I've sold 7 or 8 cars on craigslist, so obviously I'm biased but if they're flagging it for no reason, I don't know. Try reposting every week to bring your ad back to the top (for whatever reason people are lazy when it comes to going to page 2). Anyway, YES put it on autotrader (that's where I found my car and where I look for cars). Also think of everywhere YOU would go to look for a quality used car (that method may also help finding a like owner who you can trust will not abuse the car they will have bought from you). You might also look into taking it to several dealerships seeing what the trade in value is at one place, then taking it to a competitor telling them what the first dealership offered as trade in value and keep doing this until you can get a decent number (I did this when I was considering trading in the Mach and took it from $12k to $17k, but not enough to get me out of debt...so I keep it).

Anyway, that's just some food for thought.

Had another GD post flagged & removed again last night.. I'm starting to think maybe someone is doing it on purpose because I'm not doing anything any different then I did last time I sold a car.

Hmm...I have never had a post flagged on craigslist before. Do you have a copy of the ad you could post here? I'm wondering if you have don't have any contact info or if a word is spaced incorrectly to look like it says something else (like *** umption). That's really all I can think of for that other than one dbag that's messing with you for the sake of messing with you.

No man, there aren't any spelling issues or anything like that. I think it's just d-bags flagging posts for the hell of it, that's just part of it when you let the convicts run the prison..

No doubt...Well you might try posting it in a different town and see if that helps any. I know Tenn. has like 7 cities you can post in and I doubt whoever is flagging your posts is frequenting all 7 of them.
