I'd buy a S2000 before an SRT-4...for one Honda's resale value is decent and you don't have to worry about engine problems...Almost every review I saw for the SRT-4 mentioned the poor craftsmanship...basically it's a good bang for it's buck, for a couple years. Plus the s2000 is just a nice car...doest have the old school hot rod stance...raised 1 foot in the back and 6 inches up front :angry7:

no its not very modded at all maybe a different filter and a chip and hes messed with his blow off but thats it, it might just be the driver of the stang but they go at it each week and it is the same old story. it would be an ok bang for the buck for me my dads a mechanic even after my warranty if i have any problems he will help me out

I hate it when people say stuff like "yeah that SRT-4 can take a Mustang GT"..

well the damn thing has a turbo on it, it should be able to do something at least. And I agree.. I would go to Honda and buy an S2000 before I'd get an SRT-4 :\

Default srt4's

they're no joke... there's a guy here that runs low 12's with the stage 2 turbo kit from dodge (around $3K). pretty much stock other than that. plus, elevation here is 3000'. it kinda pisses me off...

Default mean

Those srt-4's are mean as hell and they sound sweet its not really a ricey sound at all. A guy up here added around 60hp just from changing the turbine in the turbo i mean with the intercooler and turbo you can just tweak things and gain more hp.Plus the engines are already built to hold the boost :hello2:

Alas, its still a neon, well, dodge wont say it is, but it is. Id take a n/a, slow as piss, Mustang GT over a neon SUPERDUPER SRT4 anyday. Im not dissing it, as anything fast gets praise from me, and they are capable of being VERY fast, but to me, its not about just being fast. The looks, the sounds, just the badass feeling you get everytime you start up a loud v8, just wouldnt trade it for that. But, on the other hand, enjoy your gas mileage.

why would you laugh at something that runs can run a 13.9 quarter mile time stock. They might be a neon but it does have a body kit a rather nice set of rims and a beefed up suspension.

It is still a s**tty little bubblegum car. it will never be a classic.

WHen my GT is having its engine rebuilt for the 3rd time 30 years down the road, that stupid little neon will be rusting it out in a junkyard.

Neons, eclipses, evos, any of those compact pocketrocket 6ly /- bubblegum junk cars. fast as hell, but they just wont last. I would rather take a V8 that is sitting somewhere in the middle of its performance capability than some bubblegum pocket rocket who's 4 banger engine is already souped up to the point that any more will cause some serious reliability issues.

Bubblegum! You buy it, enjoy it, then spit it out and never look back.
Totally Disposable.

If it aint got a V8 it is definatly on borrowed time, nobody bothers to rebuild 4bangers and economy cars. People rebuild and restore classics and muscle cars, not "Fad" cars.

MaddMatt hit the nail on the head, the mustang is not just about going fast, it is about the experience and the attitude.

WTF kinda attitude does a neon have?

OK ALL YOU KNUCKLEHEADS LISTEN UP, IF ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS SPEED THEN GET RID OF YER MUSTANG AND GO BUY AN EVO OR A CUTE LITTLE DODGE NEON.
IF YOU WANT A REAL AMERICAN BADASS, THEN GET A MUSTANG, CAMERO, OR TRANS AM AND QUIT WORRYING THAT SOME LITTLE POCKET ROCKET BUBBLEGUM FAD CAR CAN SCHOOL YOU IN THE 1/4 MILE.

THSOE LITTLE CANDY PIECES OF CRAPY WILL NEVER HOLD THE PRESENCE OF A GOOD TUNED MUSTANG WITH A GOOD EXHAUST SETUP. THEY WILL NOT TURN ANY HEADS, AND THEY WILL ALL BE RUSTED OUT PIECES OF SH*T IN 10 YEARS.

BE PROUD TO OWN A CLASSIC. ENJOY YER MUSCLE.

^ that is a really good point. To my memory,I can't think of one non-muscle car that any really cares to restore. Its alway the old cudas, chargers, stangs, camaros, etc.

"hey buddy, I'm thinkin about restoring my old '72 honda civic"

"yeah man thatll be totally rockin"

You never hear that.

Damn right you wont. Disposable Cars.

Allright Children gather around.

You know why coach Mcgurk drives a muscle car?
Because they are badass, and coach mcgurk is a badass.
Ok?
See?
You see those little import cars right? they suck. You know why they suck Brenden? because nobody cares about them. They get a scratch on them right? You know what they do? they throw it out and buy a new one cause thier cars are disposable.
Like pop cans. You drink yer pop ok, it was good, but then what? There you are right? with an empty soda can. You gonna keep it? Of course not, that would be silly Brenden. you throw it out ok? That is what you do.
You know why you throw it out brenden? Because it is used and useless.
Muscle cars never go bad. They take a beating and get resurrected.
Brendon, Pay attention, see the code on my sig? You know what that is? That is what muscle cars have. 30 freakin lives. They die and get rebuild, they get scratched and dented, they get repaired and painted. Most muscle cars you see on the road diddnt look that good when they were made. But then people rebuilt them after they were rusted pieces of junk.

lets go play some soccer.
