Default Hoods

Just trying to get some ideas on some hoods for my 04 GT. What does everyone here think about the BW3 hood. I know its a black widow design but its a pretty bad *** looking hood. Its between that or the Cobra R hood. Any suggestions

try to get polyurethane if you are shooting for the body kit...fiberglass has a tendency to break and can be difficult to fix while the polyurethane would bend and possibly just scratch

Less weight......just about every aftermarket hood you can buy for the mustang is fiberglass.

Anotehr thing...what do you guys think of carbon fiber hoods on a stang (like mine) I was thinking about the cowl induction carbon fiber hood. Its only 90 bucks more than the fiberglass...and you dont have to get it painted or anything

Im a 2000 cobra R hood lover for life. Just the best hood out there in my opinion. But the 03 cobra is close second.

There are very few Mustang hoods out there that I like. I think some of the company's get carried away and they are starting to look to "RICER". I love my hood and its just a factory GT hood with the hood scoop kept black instead of painting to match the silver. Looks really hot rod-ish to me. Other than that big cowls look good.

tHE reason I dont like the GT hood...its got the retarted non functional hood scoop that just creates drag..like the side scoops

Another thing to consider is a small performance gain from an aftermarket hood. The Steeda cowl I have weighs 24# less than the OEM 01 GT hood......also the cooling effect is obvious :walk:

Paint was $250.....primed , sanded , three coats of Performance Red, two coats of clearcote w/ flex agent added, mounted and aligned. You can get it painted cheaper but you kinda get what you pay for :happy11:
