so i found an 03 cobra for 10k. the cars has a salvage title and 87000 miles. its black and the only thing it needs is a little paint and airbags. does this seem like a good deal. because im really thinking about picking it up this weekend.

 

would need some pictures to really tell you, but you will never be able to trade it in and may have a hard time selling it later on!

check the frame and all, to make sure it isnt damaged. There is a reason why its so cheap, and it has that type of title!

 

+1 i wouldnt touch it....salvage...unless you have enough money on hand to fix it up then buyin a salvage is never worth it cause remember a guy will get what he can for something...and thats all he can go for

 

Only other good thing I can think it would be good for is a parts doner car, strip it down!

 

thats what i was just thinkin...i see you did an engine swap already...i wonder if you can fit this one in your car...along with any other goodies it might have...but then you'd be payin 10 grand for the parts and whatever else for the labor...that could run so high that youd be better off just finding a "good to go" 03 cobra

 

I would buy a used Gt or v6 and swap parts then sell the Cobra chasis with gt parts.

 

Just buy the motor..
