She's finally mine!!

Yesterday I made the final payment on my stang!!! I'm glad I don't have a car payment anymore! It will be nice to finally have some cash in my pockets and maybe I can finally pay my credit card debt!!:(:o....I'm extremely relieved!!!

Congrats, BUT, you are gonna wonder where that cash went that you USED to spend on your car payment. Kinda like when you quit smoking and can't seem to find the $30+ a month you spent on the coffin nails. ;)

mpt_1962 10-20-2007 10:49 AM

well congrats on finishing up the car payments. You should setup an allotment, and save the car payment money.

Hell Yeah!!!$462.19 extra in by bank every month sounds real damn good..

mpt_1962 10-20-2007 10:59 AM

damn why was your payment so high?!

zigzagg321 10-20-2007 11:10 AM

Congrats!

but holy shit...you were paying over $462/mo for a Stang? ripoff dude...ripoff.

StreetRacer 10-20-2007 11:16 AM

maybe cause his was bought new with all the goodies and extras

mpt_1962 10-20-2007 11:19 AM

that and NO down payment and high interest rate...4.6 Love, you gonna get lower insurance now that you dont have to have full coverage anymore?

r3dn3ck 10-20-2007 11:50 AM

My car started with a 450/mo payment. But i overpay every time by 25-100 bones... now I can send as little as 250/mo for the duration of my loan term if I want to end it on schedule. At this rate I should have it paid off almost a year early. I took a super low interest loan over 66 months knowing that the extra interest from the longer than normal term was going to be displaced by reduction in the principle. Overpaying will have saved me over 5K in interest.

Congrats on the pay-off. Now you can lower that bad boy.

You mean all this time and that biatch is still 4X4?

r3dn3ck 10-20-2007 12:02 PM

looks like it by the sig pic.

StreetRacer 10-20-2007 12:04 PM

dont lower the insurance...that was my big choice when i paid off mine...but i decided that even though you arent mandated to have the full insurance by the bank it still makes sense to have it...anything could still happen

machnjo 10-20-2007 12:26 PM

Congrats man !!!!

seriously you should have just waited a month or two and bought the thing in cash then.

WaterDR 10-21-2007 12:06 PM

Congrats 4.6 on getting the title. We don't see too many posts like this around here....only people spending more money.

I paid-off my stang and my Suburban last year. Payment free is a nice way to live.

As far as the payment amount being high, that depends on the term and many other factors. Maybe he had a 36 month loan.

Cheddarbob 10-21-2007 05:18 PM

take the money that would be used for a old payment and save it up then buy a supercharger!!!:D

venom 10-21-2007 05:30 PM

Congrats and that will give a boost to your credit. Ive had mine paid off for years and if the car is worth over 3k I would keep full coverage on it.

BTW I like the Charlie Brown tree :D.

Yeah, I probably should have. But then, I saw it in the showroom and.... well, you know.

I bought it about a week or two ago and tried to get the cash first, but I'm in TX and my bank is in WI, and I forgot my PIN number, blah blah blah. I'm kind of impatient sometimes. :)

Anyway, once I get that squared away, it'll be time to mod. After all, Texas Hot Rods is right down the street!

Alright, sorry about that OP, [/hijack]

rebelyell 10-21-2007 11:20 PM

WTG. I still have 2 more years @ 440 a month. Cant wait till she's all mine. Wifes Concorde will be be paid in full next year. But now she wants a Lexus or maybe a Jaguar.. LOL, Payments will keep on coming for one thing or another..

stanger00 10-21-2007 11:25 PM

thats a good feeling... i paid mine off about a year ago. now im right back in the saddle with this 05 subaru WRX. i wanna bump my payments up $100 more but its direct deposit so i dont know how that will work.

'02SilverBullet 10-22-2007 02:55 AM

WTFG on the pay off. Your payment isnt that bad to me. I still pay 518.97 a month. Thats just something for you young guys to consider.... TAKE CARE OF YOUR CREDIT! My credit is ALL jacked up and I got nailed with a high intrest rate. Hell at the time I was just happy to get finaced at all really. I baught my car in June of '02 band new. I ended up paying 23,210 for it on the front. After my crappy trade in of 500 bucks and a whopping 18.59 intrest rate for 72 months I think it was. When the damn thing is paid off I will have payed over 10k in intrest.

I will know better next time, my priority now is to clean my credit up I HAVE been wanting to buy a house but with the market nowa days who knows anymore. Even though I could easily afford it, I cant cuz of credit. You young bucks heed the advice of a guy thats been there.

madmatt 10-22-2007 04:58 AM

OUCH 18.59% @ 72 months

My loan has a high interest rate on the T/a because its an unsecured loan, I hold the title, and it wasnt that much money that I took out. I absolutely HATE interest...lol unless its working FOR me.

That is a negative. I'm through with trying to make my car fast! Plus, going fast doesn't concern me anymore like when I was 19..:o...I'm gonna pay of my 5k credit card debt and then buy me a bike!:)

mpt_1962 10-22-2007 11:10 AM

lol...then go fast with the bike!

That would just be dumb. He should keep the full coverage.
