Military?

My wife and and myself are both army brats. Ft. Bragg/fayettenam. I have some neighbors who are in Iraq right now. some of my friends joined the services after we graduated in 78, some of them died in granda, most retired without seeing much action. (before the gulf wars). I wouldn't have made a very good soldier. I hate being yelled at and I probably wouldn't have made it through basic training for that reason. I have a few friends who were in the 1st gulf war. And I really feel strongly for support for our troops in the current bullshit war we are in now. Bring them home, before we hit the 5000 dead troops mark.. My dad and my wifes dad were both decorated vietnam vets. But the gulf war is a whole different thing. If they are willing to be suicide bombs, then we should step off, let them have at it.. without Us getting killed in the process. Didn't mean to rant so bad but, This war needs to stop having the US involved.. IMHO.....

No military for me. Come from a large military family.
Dad was a m60 gunner in Manheim West Germany 84-88, 8th infantry.
Grandpa is a vietnam vet.
Cousin was active as an Army Ranger, 2 tours in Iraq, both in Baghdad, his unit ect can't be talked about too much. All he can say is it was a 16 man sniper battalion. He is now on reserve duty, his eye surgery mis-corrected while in Baghdad, they flew him back to D.C. spent 4 months there, a year in El Paso on base, and now for ***** and giggles, he is in El Centro California working on the border.
Myself, I wanted to join, but at that time my cousin was a LT and had some decent pull as to where I would go. He basically said he'd make sure all I could do was wash dishes, and that was if my dad didn't break my legs before I went to basic.
