Default Buy another bike or supercharge the stang..

Well, if any of you remeber couple months ago I bought a 98 GSX-r 600 for the summer.. I recently sold it to a buddy of mine because I was going to put the money in the stang supercharge etc.. But my father just recently purchased a Harley for the summer and wants me to get a bike to ride with him.. I came across a good deal its a Blue and Black 2000 Suzuki GSX-R 600 with 15k miles Full exhaust, New tires, and a K&N filter, the guy is located about 45 minutes away from me and is selling it for $3000 with 2 leather jackets and 2 helmets.. Guy said it is well maintained couple stratches from it being a 2000, but he said it runs mint.. Now my question is with the Spring here now and it becoming nice again should I do it or put the money in the stang and supercharge it?

I say supercharge the stang. How often will you really cruise with your dad? and it will look funny having a harley and a sport bike cruising with each other. you don't just sit back and cruise on a sport bike. Supercharger FTW!

I get my motorcyce license in two weeks so I can drive one legally. I was looking at some used Yamaha R6's which are really nice bikes, but I think im going to get a cruiser now and have started to look at Honda Shadows.

There is just something about having a bike.

are you talking about the bike on SVTP? if so than that is a lot of miles on a bike (18,xxx) i could find something around my area with 8k miles for that price. but if you just wanna ride for cheap, that looks like a very clean bike

If you want to kill yourself, get the bike.

Yet another friend and co-worker of mine nearly killed on Saturday. She is still in the Trauma Center and if she makes it, her life won't be the same. She has two kids at home with a mom who will never be the same. Also, her boyfriend (she is divorced) was also injured and he is up on charges for wreckless endangerment.

Sorry for the rant, but bikes are deadly serious business especially sports bikes.

My brother who is a dr at Mayo Clinic calls bikes organ donors and job security.

It depends on the person driving it. There are car accidents all the time and nobody says dont get a car or die. It depends on the responsibility of the driver. If I had a bike, I would also be wearing the full gear all the time. A lot of bike accidents come from other drivers who can't mind their surroundings and pay attention to other people on the road.

I agree, i ALWAYS wear ALL of my Gear, helmet jacket gloves etc. Some people just dont know how to ride, they think its just a toy. and on the other hand some people dont know how to drive properly around bikes. One thing i cant stand or understand is when you see people riding bikes with no helmet but they have the helmet attached to the back of the bike Dummmmmmmmmb... I guess its there to protect the the bike.

While everone else is got off topic on the safety BS, I say GET THE BIKE!
Gas prices arent getting any lower and a bike will save some cash there. But you will use that up in extra insurance too though LOL! Bikes are fun, to enjoy day AND night. And just think.... when you pick that chik up for the first date and she thinks you got a bike only. But you show up in that emaculate stang that was cleaned up and parked. hehe anyway you see what im getting at

You can wear all the safety **** you want. it won't do much good when the MILF in the mini-van runs you over. I share the highways with bikes on a daily basis. While there are jack-asses in cars, just about every kid on a sports bike is a total moron. I see them doing wheelies on the freeway, weaving in and out of traffic, and riding at excessive speeds more often then not.

If I had a kid old enough to own a bike, they would never be allowed....not in my house...not ever. I burried one child already, and know of too many people personally who have had bad wrecks on bikes. Often times they just dump them driving around a corner and slip on gravel.

My brother in law busted his face up soo badly on a bike that he had to have his mouth wired shut. Two collapsed lungs, broken ribs, torn liver, and a busted-up spleen. He is still not right. All he did was spill going too fast around a corner and jacked infront of a car. He is a dad now and no longer rides.

Get a blower for the stang - lol
