Why GM Sucks!
I get from GM tooday:

So, I blasted them in an email. I am never buying another GM product again. They need to upgrade their custmers or refund us for the money we all spent adding this as an extra feature. I have two cars with On Star and now I have useless buttons that don't do ****. GM is a joke.

From reading that even if they still used the analog, the cell companies wouldnt have to carry it so you probably wouldnt have been able to use it anyway. That isnt GMs fault.
But I agree just buy a 300 GPS unit and keep a cell phone on ya. Your good to go.

Well, that is not the point. They should have to upgrade the system to digital. I don't use it for navigation, I use it as a safety feature. I paid for it with the car as an option just like you do with any other option.

Well I can understand how you feel blake...however...it's not gm's fault that wireless carriers chose not to carry the analog frequency anymore. Hell some people were screwed as well because they had analog phones and they were force to buy new updated digital phones. It's just like anything..a technology becomes obsolete and upgrading is needed. But I do see it from your point of view as well...you paid for something and you expect to get service from it...

Now wait a sec....I bought a car this summer...it game with a 100k mile FACTORY warranty. They can't just say that I can't having something on my car that I paid for. I don't give rats *** about what the FCC did. They need to upgrade their customers. If they don't, then I will see if I can sue under the lemon law.
I met in person today with a GM On Star rep and let her know what I thought. She said that all she has heard all week long is complaints. Part of me thinks that GM might be dragging their customers into a fight with the FCC to make a point.
