I wish I could use less gas, but I have to get to work and everything. If I was closer to work I would ride a bike unless the weather was crappy. I just think it's shitty that we pay so much more for gas and we don't even get the good stuff. It's like the watered down Kool-aid I use to get at camp.

LoL funny you mention that, every year gas stations here get caught tryin to do that ****...the most well known around here was i think in Pensacola where a gas station cut it by almost 50% and people were locking up their motors only a couple miles down the road...it was after either Ivan or Katrina..

I heard some statistic on the news the other day that if America shifted all of its corn production towards ethanol, it would only power 1/3rd of the cars just in the United States.

I'll look for a link on that..

yeah, idk if those numbers are true but thats understandabl considering the vast quantity of fuel, and the actual amount of grain America can produce....and the issue with hydrogen is that its more expensive to produce and would just keep the prices high...

I just paid $2.38 a gal. for 89 octane tonite.. Gaadaam I aint gonna bitch about that, We could have it a lot worse. Just remeber when just last year we were expecting 4 bucks a gallon for 87 octane. And there wasn't much we could do about it except cry and blame mother nature. Fact is big oil is gonna do as they please until (US Government) stops their profit from it. Geez, the oil companies are reaping the biggest profits in the history of any country at any time on earth. So any thing under 3 bucks a gal. is acceptable to me with minimal moaning.. I might bitch to my wife or neighbor about it, what can we do!!!.

The last thing you want is for the government to put in a price ceiling... good God, you'd be looking at one of the largest gas shortages in history. If you want to get on someone about profits and prices, its OPEC.

Problem is that the demand will be high for corn and it will drive up the price for corn as is currently the case.

Yeah me too. I don't want to save money and drive some slow *** car around just for the good gas mileage, even though my cars gas mileage has been pretty shitty lately.

As much as the US is doing for the oil producing nations, we should be getting our oil dirt *** cheap. (IMO).. Geez we spend billions in foreign affairs and our on US oil companies are making a 250% profit from what we pay at the pump. The only thing that can stop US oil companies from reaping such rewards is our own Government.. Opec dont give a rats *** about what we need. And our president is a (Big oil man) anyway. Anyway if we get to 4 bucks a gallon for Gasoline, then we should start bitching, on a domestic scale. We cant f--k with the opec oil ministers. They hate us anyway...

In the last 2 weeks here, it's gone from $2.27, down to $1.89, then back up to $2.17, that's all for 87...

Like I said something big is going to happen Iran(getting short end of the stick),Saudi Arabia and US are the players causing Oil to go down. IMO Cali has high prices since all the tree hugers want to save the planet by doing all this fancy processing and taxes which the main force behind it, politicians and hollywood will never be affected since they can pay for gas at whatever price so keep supporting them and their views just dont complain about it lol.

I wouldn't really consider Hollywood a rich area. Hollywood is such a **** hole. Most people who haven't been to California or never visited the area think Hollywood is this glamorous, wealthy, super nice place. Trust me it's not. I would be a little nervous walking down Hollywood Blvd. at night.

hollyweird is a fuggin slum. It's industrial and nasty and connected directly to west hollyweird which is even worse and filled with the ugliest gays on the planet (at least SF gays have some pride in how they look). You want a wealthy area... try the Malibu area or anywhere in the SF bay area.

People from outside of California have a real interesting take on our state....I would say they watch too much tv for the most part. Yeah, we for sure have issues, but most people have a "hollywood" view of California......Carry on cause I'm going outside to enjoy my sunny 60 degree day.

Hell yeah! we should get Arnold as president and Jesse "the body" Ventura as vice president and hell get the guy who played The incredible Hulk as Secretary of State or something.

But seriously, I wish I was outside driving around right now instead of being stuck at work. I also wish it was 73 degrees here.

ha ha....our country would be kicking *** and taking names if those 3 were in charge. Hell, we wouldn't even need to send troops anywhere...just send Arnold. Maybe Rambo could get a job with them as well.

I'll take 60 degrees, but 73 sure sounds nice. I honestly feel bad for the parts of the country that are getting pounded with snow.

Its not really that big of a deal, we arent getting it like NY in some spots but we got about 12 inches with huge drifts (oddly enough most where in my driveway )

Its freakin freazin here in NJ. It just snowed the other day and feels around 10 degrees with the wind blowin hard as hell.

Gas isn't too bad here, around 2.00 for 87 oct. and 2.30 for 93 oct. It sucks tho when you have a mustang and a explorer to fill up every week lol. But i love my mustang and having a second car so i wouldn't want it any other way.

Sorry for bringing back the thread, but when I first posted this 2 weeks ago gas was at $2.89 for 91. As of yesterday, it is now $3.23. I just think thats ridiculous.
