Default Benny Parsons 1941-2007

Well another NASCAR legend falls. Benny Parsons passed. Great racer and great announcer. It won't be the same watching the races now and not hearing his commentary. Another victim of cancer only 2 weeks after Bobby Hamilton died of cancer. It is a sad start to the NASCAR season.

They better do some kind of tribute to the both of them at Daytona this year.

Why Benny. should have been Darrell Waltrip, then I could stand to listen to the tv during the races.

Have to watch the races and listen to MRN when he is announcing.

No doubt, BP will be missed in the 07 season. He brought some sense of responsibility to the viewers and fans when he announced the race. He always told what he thought and he played no favorites when some got out of line. I was saddened by the news. I hope someone can step in and take over for Benny, because, He knew the sport, He knew the fans, and he knew what Nascar needs to do to make it more fun for all the fans. RIP Big Guy..
