Thumbs down??

Okay, so I know it's not the secret way of saying that they like my ride, and though I know its not particularly good, what does it mean when you're driving by another car(imports especially for me) and they stick their arm out and give a thumbs down?

Mainly that they're jealous. They hate your Mustang becuase they can't afford a car with power.

it means they think your car is gay,slow,weak,gay, etc..

more than likly its because they drive a import and knwo that most domestic owners hate imports. i give the thumbs down all the time its quite fun. :angel3:

Both times it has been done to me, one was a talon, the other a 98 eclipse. I was just tryin to have fun and I gas it next to them, then they just do the thumbs down....idiots... not like im bein serious about it.

Ive never seen anybody giving me the thumbs down. Maybe i oughtta look in the rear view mirror!

Ive gotten lots of compliments though. The weather here in denver is really getting nice (xcept for last week) and it seems like everyone is out shining thier cars and cruising around. Everyone seems in a good mood and eager to compliment.

The good thing, is if they are giving you thumb's down, it makes it really easy to grab thier wrist and shoulder and yank that arm around and plant that thumb right in thier butt. <laugh> :Whaxatk:

I was being a bit scarcastic about it. Maybe since you're hopping on it next to them they're just trying to say they don't want to race?

As a person who regularley gives the thumbs down to numerous vehicles every day I can assure it's not good. THey think mustangs suck just because it's a mustang. You could have the nicest mustang in the world and still get, yeah it's still just another mustang comments. But I just shrug it off and eat my lunch on thier picknic table wings

I think you are being too agressive by reving a V8 as they are not used to the real sound of an engine.

Usually if someone gives me a thumbs down, ill flap my wrist out at their car about 6 times. Ill also do it if they think they are cool. I just skip on right by the "thumbs down" part, and go for the super YOU SUCK sign.

i never got a thumbs down. i get stared a lot though. while i'm driving and while i wait in traffic. they just envy. hehe. some compliments too.

Yup, they are mad cause they drive a crap ass car that cost Pennys with a folgers can on it. This is what i think of them :thebirdma

I personaly have never got a thumbs down, just a lot of watchful eyes.

Here's one you can try. Just point at their ricer and laugh out loud. Hard as you can. Keep pointing at em and laughing. Most ricers I see are ugly ass primered,
lowered, with some ugly airplane wing or neon lights under the chasis. Plus that stupid looking single fart cannon. LOL, It must suck to drive that all day.

I usually laugh at them too. Funny thing is the person I see give them the most **** is my best friend, who drives a CRX that was done up tastefully and with performance in line. He hates that they give him a bad name.

dude, thats soc razy bc about 2 weeks ago i was with my girl and there was this primered crx with a big ass spoiler revving at me and I was tellin her "hey look at the wing, the car might tip over backwards" and so we pointed and laughed and that guy was soooooo pissed. omg so funny. if youre ever in a bad mood, go out w/ a friend drivin and laugh at the ricers...and make sure they see you.
