Odd Subject ADD
Does anybody have ADD on the board? I may need to get tested to see if I have ADD I took like 4 tests online and they all said I have symptoms of ADD.

Everybody has add according to Glaxso Smith & Klien. Everyone is clinically depressed as well according to them.
if you get distracted, hey, that is normal. if you have the ability to focus on things for hours at a time, then you are normal.
if you cant sit and watch 10 minuits of tv without being consistantly distracted by everything, then you might have add.
personally i would bet roughly 5% of kids on meds actually have true ADD.
these meds are a business. they want clients.
Personally, unless your trusted family doctor says you have ADD, i wouldnt worry about it. Those tests are designed to make people think they have ADD, so they call thier doc and say "HEY, I have ADD!" gimme some drugs.

Honestly, they were normal to begin with except for skittles, we called him that cause it fit. anyways, yeah, i believe he had ADD. everyone else is just falling to thier fears and giving thier money to the pharmacutical companys.

well ****, I have the same problem.. I cannot focus on school work at all, even if I think it's entertaining. If I go out to resturants then I usually play with everything on the table. I don't think I have ADD though, I think I just get bored easily lol

i twitc, fiddle, when i sit down i jackhammer my leg, i bite my nails always have to be moving or talking and i just blame it on my personality not a disease

Looking at causes for ADD and family history I worry about it 2 main things is substance abuse from previous members and anxiety disorders which I have faint traces of that.

They say I have ADHD and mild depression. Idc who nows it i take prozac and some other **** to calm me down i prob dont need the mild depression anymore but why stop it if im happy not worth the risk imo

Every Person that has gotten detention in school has ADD...

They say I have it... shoot... Almost every person I know has it...
I don't think its a real illness or whatever...
I think it comes down to either...
1.You need to care about what you're trying to do
2.You need to be motivated
If you don't give a rats *** and are feeling lazy... then you have "ADD"
And if you bring an airhorn to school... you have ADD
And if you bring horse **** to school and throw it around the cafeteria... you's got ADD
And if decide to skip class and laugh at security guards that cant catch you... ADD

Thing is that they said I have it... but I can sit and do welding and need 100% concentration and do fine... so...
I call BS on ADD

IMHO, I don't think ADD really exists. Hell I'm old school and I can multitask at work like noone else. I just prioritize which job needs to be done 1st vs. which will take the least amount of time, vs. which one will have the most value added. LOL. (That's my brainwashed corporation mind there).
Just remember, Theres is always something that needs to be done. so do it now. But also, there is time that needs to be taken for yourself, so, stop for a minute or 2 and watch the birds, or smell the roses, or whatever.
Paying attention when you really need to will come easier as you get older.
Just rely on common sense to let you know if you need to focus on the subject at hand or not...
