Mazda Rx-8
 

so what do u guys think of the mazda rx-8? personaly ive driven this car a bunch of times cause my friend had one, and its what i learned stick on. everytime i see one, i wish i could buy it. was one of the nicest feeling cars ive driven and shifts so smoothly, awesome drift car.

but, with all this, its way underpowered. anyone else?

I dunno what i think about them. Thier styling is pretty odd. lol

junk. i like the rx7 the best. third gens were Twin Turboed but easily converted into a huge single turbo setup and made great power. they all sound like crap tho

idk i love the rotary's sound. but i also like some 4 cylinder imports. im not a strict american muscle guy, even tho ive always wanted a trans am ws6

awesome drift car? Your joking right? I drove those cars and they are crap, First gear has NO POWER AT ALL.

dont you mean the gears have no power at all? lol
no torque = no drift car
even though it is rwd, it is hardly grounds for sweet driftz y0!?!?!?

idk about that...ive drove it, and my friend was able to drift like crazy with it and all he had was a ram air intake and a chip

they are SLOW!!

Rotary can put up some serious HP.. even on the 4 banger.. i had a magazine with like a...600hp RX-7..

I don't like the 8s..don't look right to me.. nothing aggressive about it..

As for drifting...sliding around a curb or something..aint drifting..

yea i agree about the agressiveness, i think they need a nice body kit. but idk sumthing about driving that car i like it so much. i would like to see mazda up the power to 280-300 start turboing it like the rx7 and giving it some forged internals

spend that money on the GT and ya'll be lots faster... and better looking

you are in no league to call anything rice untill your 6'er has some forced induction.

like greg said, rice is what people make things into. but power wise, your 6 is even worse. :poke:

tru tru, i still someday dream of dropping an ls2 into a rx7 body one day though, then adding a nice big turbo

Idk, I personally think Mazda has one of the nicest all around line ups. Yea, it's not huge, but it's a pretty sporty line up with what they offer. I love the Mazda's. I've test drove a Mazda 3 and looked at a few RX8's (just for fun).

I like the styling of the RX8 a lot, but for power... very very lacking. I've demolished one from a 40 roll to about 80. We ran 3 separate times. O yea, I'm an auto so I ran the whole race in 2nd gear, lol. His was a stick.

chevy motor in a mazda = dumb IMO

well my bad, this is a 4 rotor all motor rx-7 not the ls1 swap video i was thinking about, but still, this is pretty damn fast. keep in mind it is only 500hp, but the rx-7 is light

Its not really made by ford, if anything Ford uses more Mazda stuff than the other way around. For instance the Fusion = Mazda6. Ford owns a portion of Mazda, thats it.

That being said the Mazda RX-8 is not a stright line car but its a fantastic corner carver and would pistol whip a stock GT in the twisties.

The four doors are kinda quirky but they do serve a purpose where you can actually use the rear seats comfortably.

yes it probably quicker than my 6 but who cares theres hundreds of cars that are faster than my car. \
and for the rotary i just dont like non piston engines IMO

I've driven a few of the ones we get in on trades here and I must say that the interior looks amazing and they are very very quick cars. In short they are pretty sweet rides and I would not mind owning one.......................................If I was into imports, which i'm not!!:kekekegay:

All import cars are not rice, thats seriously one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. Especially from a sixer that would get waxed by most of those ricey imports. The mustang could only dream about have as nice an interior or fit and finish as the RX-8. The only negative I see to the RX-8 is its very expensive to buy for the power. I would rather have a 350Z for the same price.

I think I will stick with my 07 GT premium interior over the rx-8.

before i bought my mustang, i was going to get a New car from a dealer, and it was between the rx-8 and the 350z. rx-8 is extremely underpowered so i decided not to wind up kicking myself in the ass for getting it, and i found my mustang at a dealer up the block fora good deal so just went with it.
