Default FINALLY!!! the answer to your gas pumpin problem (05+)

for all those of you who've got a 05 stang whether it be a v6 or v8. have you ever had a time that you go to the gas station, and it seems when your pumpin gas, your there for almost an hour cuz the gas pump shuts off thinkin your cars full?? finally an answer!!! since the new mustangs were made to catch eyes, and bring ford up and away from there bankruptcy, they came up with the new stang (05+).. they focused on muscle but missed all the minor details.. for example. the gas pump ordeal. the reason it stops pumpin is cuz the gas whole is soo thin, it doesnt allow for pressurized air to get out. which is measured by the pump. which means, more pressure less fuel, thus the pump stoppin.. now heres your answer.. turn the pump upside down. instead of the handle facing down, make it face the car, and turn the pump completely upsidedown.. my next thread will show a pix. i got one on my cell, i think it's quite clear, so if you want me to post the pic. let me know. and i'll post it..

another problem you might expreience.. when turning do you ever hear a loud cracking sound.. if so, not to worry your still covered under warranty, take it to the dealer and have them replace the turning axle bearing..

i love car talk.. so if anyones got any questions just email me.. and i'll be happy to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge. and if i cant answer it.. give me two days. and i'll find the answer..

and remember.. a woman can never ride you like your horse (stang) ... LOL..

I'll have to give this a try. I was heart broken when I got my '07 and went to the pump. I guess I put too much faith in Ford and thought they would have fixed this problem in the two years the car has been out. I was quickly grounded though when I could only get to 3/4 of a tank of gas.

STUPID FORD! No wonder they are having problems.

one more thing.. if your car when turning has a loud cracking sound and only happens when turning. fear not, it's covered under warranty and it's the turning axle bearings.. take it to te dealer and they'll replace it FREE(under warranty) just make sure you take out anything that would void your warranty.. they'll know what's wrong as soon as you tell them the problem, it's a common problem.. but, you know what, no matter how many nick nacks the new stangs have, I STILL LOVE MY 05 STANG. cuz anything wrong with it is fixed free. (warranty).. if you ever have any problems just e-mail me..

Although i have only filled my 07 up once i didnt have any problems. May have just been a restricted pump flow.

Default I want to thank you

I have been to several Mustang car shows and no one could give me an answer to this annoying problem. I signed up to the forum to thank you. It was bad enough that I have to go to the gas station because of the guzzler that the GT is, but it was worse cause I would only fill up to three quarters of ta tank most of the time. So again thanks.

there was a TSB put out about it... why don't you go to the dealer and say you have the problem and would like it fixed.

because it still happens on cars that were built after the date specified in the TSB. My car does it and it's not supposed to. But at this point i've learned which stations do it and which ones don't
