help finding transmission dealers
Hey folks.
This aint for my mustang, thought maybe somebody here coule point me in the right direction.
I got an 84 Honda Civic Dx hatchback with the 1.5l engine, manual tranny.
The thing grinds like mad when i try to get it in reverse, it can be a real pain in the *** getting it in first as well, i have to be rolling about 5-8mph or it is damn impossible to get it in gear. From a dead standstill you really have to force it.
i think i oughtta just replace the damn tranny.
looking to find a rebuilt./used one, ive been dicking around online for hours, not getting anywhere. Anybody have any good resources or ideas on where i might be able to find one where i DONT have to go pull it out of a car in a junkyard in the wintertime?
also, never had anything more than an alternator rebuilt. Think a tranny shop could just fix the damn thing?

Or go to a Aamco and buy one of their rebuilt trannys and put it in yourself
