Any Xbox 360 lovers in here?

Here's the scoop.

I gotta new laptop so I've listed my old laptop on ebay. Dell Inspiron 6000, base model and only upgrade is DVD +/-RW. 512mb RAM, 1.6GHz centrino, 15.4" screen... etc.

I've gotten an offer to trade my laptop for a Xbox 360 premium, w/ wireless controller, a regular controller, 20gb hard drive, Tiger Woods 2006, and Burnout Revenge.

So.... do it? or not?

I'd do it, that laptop you have is probably worth 300-400$ tops.

Just....don't move the XBOX or change it's standing position when it's on, they are notorious for scraping the DVD when people do that.

Well, one thing, is the xbox new or used? If it's used you may just want to wait, the rumor is that when the PS3 debutes, the 360 premium system will drop from 400$ to 300$ in cost to compete in sales.

Thats what I was thinking. I figured no more than $500 for the laptop.

the 360 and all of that stuff included is around 600 bucks so go for it get a 360 for halo 3! coming soon..

I figure I can trade. If I dont really like it or think I'll use it that much.. I figure I can sell it on ebay and get more for the XBox than I would the laptop.

I haven't played my PS2 in like two years, lol.

Now that I got my new laptop though I bought Half Life 2 w/ counter strike and a few other games that were on it.

Wait until after the PS3 comes out to decide on any video game system. PS3 is going to be outragously (sp) expensive. I think its 500 for one with a 30 GB HD and 600 for one with a 60 GB HD. I would wait to see what Microsoft does in response to the release of the PS3. I don't think Microsoft needs to do a damn thing, Sony needs to drop the price because that son'bitch is almost twice as much as a damn 360. I've also heard reviews of Blu-ray disks. The Blu-ray DVDs can take up to 30 seconds to boot up and up to 10 seconds to switch chapters. It may not sound like much but sit there looking at a black screen and count to 30 real slow. The games could be better or worse, no one really knows.

Playstation is notorius for slow game loading.

I told him I'm gonna wait and see how the auction does. If it isnt doing well, and he still wants to trade, then I'll trade and sell the 360. I don't really have that much time to play vid games.

PS3 is 600$

And Blu-ray is all hype, I'm not worried for Microsoft at all...and there is a lot of debate to whether or not HDDVD or blu-ray will be the next-gen format..and HDDVD is on top right now, so Sony may have ****ed up royally, only time will tell.

microsoft is gonna buy out sony's playstation....Sony is losing $400 for each system they make but theyre games are supposed to make up for it but i doubt it cause the games are gonna be close to $100

get teh 360...theyre cheap...you can communicat between friends on xbox live...the graphics are much better than anything i know for the price of the 360...i payed 350for mine brand new from the store..haha...buy it!!!

It's only 600 if you get the 60GB HD with it. The 20GB HD system will only be 500. Still rediculously expensive if you ask me.

Their games are nothing close to 100 bucks. EBGames is already selling them for 60 bucks a pop. They'll drop back down to 50 in a year or so. That rumor was started a long time ago when people thought the PS3 would be around 900 bucks. It's all speculation. When Sony had their press release last spring they gave the price of the games, systems, and when it'd be released. They also got rid of the gay boomerang and went back to the old school style controller with that gyro-scope tech in it.

I agree. If the blu-ray games do end up being as slow as the blu-ray DVDs, I think Sony will have a huge problem on their hands. I personally liked the PS2 much better than the Xbox, but if PS3 is going to be as rough as it sounds, I would probably pick the 360 over it. But then again, it's all speculation until it's actually released.

360 FTW glad i have mine, i love it you cant beat xbox live unbelievable service just kickass online... ps2 had the worst online... i wouldnt even consider it online it was horrible.. but Halo 3, gears of war, and call of duty 3 coming out soon for 360 cant wait! BOO Ps3!

All Sony does is ripoff other people's ideas...they got sued for the dualshock controller for PS2 because it was already patented, they try to play off Killzone as the HALO for PS, but it's a shit game, they have a gyro scope controller now, which the nitendo Wii already made, and of course if you want to carry it that far - they probably got the idea of a harddrive from XBOX.

I would sell the laptop and put money away until the PS3 comes out to see what happens with the 360 maybe they would release a special 360 with HDdvd by then. I would not jump on the band wagon with sony as the minidics and some other of their gadgets are long gone so its just a sit and wait now. You should by consoles according to your taste in games. I like FPS, shooter type games and system link for lan parties which the PS2 was anemic. The PS has great racing,platform and RPG games but xbox seems to have better FPS. Only two games you need to buy this year is FEAR and GEARS OF WAR. At this point its just a sit and wait plus the Wii might surprise everyone so dont count them out just yet.

I'm just selling the laptop and pocketing the money. I won't buy a system, I just don't have time. And plus, I have my laptop now to play a few games if I want anyways.
