Yeah, I think it gives the car some character!
Shouldnt be that bad man, his insurance will pay for the repairs and you will be on your merry way. =D

ESTIMATE: $1,936.XX

Basically I'll get the check for that ammount as soon as the insurance appraiser comes out and verrifies it.

Believe it or not, he said my front bumper is fine and just need to be reposititioned and painted. No actually structural damge. Also he said it wasn't fiberglass which I always thought it was. He said it was some sort of plastic but not quite Urethane.

Basically I can get the fender fixed myself for like 300 bux, headlights $150 leftover would be about $1,500 to fix the front bumper.

SO, here's my thought. My saleen kit is pretty much really beat up with spider webbing all over the place. I've mentioned before in the past I thought of getting a whole new kit and so forth. The kit plus prep, paint, install would be right aroung $2,000.

One of the reasons I really didn't like my car, and wanted to sell it was because I was sick of the visual look of the bumpers, side skirts, not fitting right, etc. Well now I have a good chance to fix all of it to authentic Saleen pieces and truley convert it visually into a nice looking Saleen Replica.

I'm somewhat in a delimma. One other thing I JUST thought about. I've always been a huge fan of custom, but small paint. I've mentioned this too before, but since I need to have the bumper, fender repainted/replaced... and the front of the hood repainted and buffed... I very well could just convert the front to a flame design and have it run into the white. I would only have to repaint the front right fender. IF I did this I would do a Sonic Blue leading into the tips of the flames black.

Sounds like you are making the best of a bad situation. That's awesome! Also sounds like you may keep your stang.. which is also awesome.

win/win !!

Just for those who care... I buffed out all the black paint that was rubbed on from the other vehicle.

It doesnt look half bad now. The fender is still banged up, but no paint is cracked or peeled so you only see the bends/dents from a certain angle.

Also the front bumper only has the black background from the urethane and slight paint peeling around it. At least I can deal with it until it gets fixed.

Also took a good look how everything was mounted and bolted up. I think (hope) it'll be really easy to install the fender and re-mount the front bumper. All I gotta do is take a fender and the front bumper to a body shop to get painted. should be able to pocket around $1000

Well after a lonnggggggggggg process through insurance, etc. etc. I finally got the ball rolling.

another appraiser had to come out and verify. Got a final check for $1900.

Found a fender in Columbus, OH that was white and in good shape. Cost $175 but I don't have to worry about re-painting it now. After more inspection on my car, the front mounting panel was also busted that the headlights attach too. Bought a new one for $65. Need to get the painted and get my front bumper re-painted. Was quoted $250-300 if I sand down and prep. New smoked headlights for $150 off ebay (exact same as american muscles).
Also bought Silverstar bulbs, Saleen fender badges, and Saleen deck badge.

Final Profit: $115 estimated. Not too bad, too bad it took 6 weeks.

No not yet, gonna get the fender wednesday, the front mounting panel should be in by friday. 1st week of december my dad's going out of town, so I have his vehicle in the meantime while fixing. Hpefully it will only take the body shop 1-2 days to paint the mounting panel and front bumper. I'll take pics of the easy process.

BTW, my dad's vehicle is a van, I'm gonna feel like Jack the Ripper! hahahaha

WHOA!, I just realized I mis typed a few posts ago, final profit is $1150.
