Buddy trading in c6 z06, any advice for what?

So long story short, my buddy has had a c6 z06 for a while, its had sooo many factory defects that its been in service more then at his house, and to top if off on monday night he blew the engine driving it out of the dealer home. Dealer screwed something up, i'll post pictures later of the car with the blown engine. Warranty is taking care of it though, $20,000 engine. Well long story short hes fed up with the car and trading it in. Tomorrow were going to go test drive a new 06 Viper coupe. the non-vert ones. And also hes trying to look for like an 2000-2001 Modena with low miles, and im trying to talk him into looking for a used Ford GT. any suggestions? Price range $120,000.

I've heard of people having way more problems with the vipers than the corvettes.

all that kenne bell is offering is a replacement supercharger drive so its not a whole swap. just the front part.

F all those options, get a 67 Shelby GT500 or a 63 Split Window Corvette. With that price range (if you are serious), he could get a pristine classic.

test drive 1!! they are fast and fun as hell

mustangvsix 09-28-2006 06:02 PM

the ford gt or the viper, either would be sick...or tell him to look into a henessy viper, those are some crazy fast cars.

stang00 09-28-2006 06:34 PM

tell him to get a nsx

SlicK 09-28-2006 06:48 PM

I wish I had 120k to blow on a car. I'd tell him to save his pennies for a few more years and get an FXX. By then they'll be easier to get past shipping patrol. They aren't street legal but they are one of the fastest production cars ever... and it'll only cost him about 2.5 mill

get out of here with those garbage suggestions. NSXs are stupid.

If he has 120k to spend, id probably go buy a Benz e55 AMG with an aftermarket package like RENNtech. A STOCK 2006 e55 amg runs 12.40s in the 1/4. After RENNtech upgrades, he could see well into the mid 11s.

Are you mentally retarded? Not only is that car over a mill but its not even street legal, that was a stupider suggestion then the NSX. If he even had near that amount im sure he would just get an Enzo instead.
