Default Modding DD

I have been thinking alot lately about what direction I am going with my 04 GT, my worrys basically stem from my latest mod of adding a Vortech S-Trim kit. I mean dont get me wrong it is running great, and I love the power and continue to want more but there is a limit to how far I can go before my GT starts to be un-streetable, and if anything breaks I am stuck without a DD and i am still making a monthly payment on the car for another 4 years. Am I just worrying to much or do some of you guys have the same concerns? Or should I just thwo caution to the wind and seeing as I have come this far just make it into the 500hp monster I want and hope for the best. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.

Just be careful, I blew the engine on my car and have been without it for 4 months let me tell you it sucks!, keep in mind the stock engine can only handle 420rwhp, just keep that in mind

There are several people on miles per hour that have 600rwhp DD's. But like 3V said, build up your block to bullet proof, and trans, and drivetrain to make it reliable!

you've got more power than you can deal with right now IMO. I'd concentrate on braking and suspension to take advantage of all that power. Other than that, you need to maintain it much more carefully than a stock GT.

If you treat it right and use the power responsibly, you'll have a powerful ride for years to come.

My car is nearly unstreetable and it's my DD and I'm still paying it off. I'm also fully prepared to make expensive and frequent repairs when I decide to beat on it. Just acknowledge to yourself that you've made it a little less robust for a lot more power and treat it accordingly.

I am only making 350rwhp 350tq its not a overwhelming amount of hp, especially from the setups I have seen on this site

with the right suspension and braking, that's a lot of power. Without, it's just nice. The substitute for power is being able to plant it on the ground.

Pay it off, THEN have fun. Its no fun to pay for a broken car, and face it, high horsepower cars BREAK. A lot.
